I use an electric razor to shave my head and I have to say that this Braun Series 9 Pro is absolutely the best! I love the Braun Razors and have been using a series 5 which cut very good but It was staring to get old and I wanted to try a higher series razor to see if it really made a difference. I got it on a sale for a little over $300 so I took the leap and all I can say is wow!! This razor shaves even closer than my series 5 and in half the time. I let my hair grow for 3 days and wanted to time how long it would take to shave my entire head and face and I did it all in 7 mins. I get no irritation or any razor burn and it is so smooth with no hair pulling. and with the cleaning station makes it even better and worth the price. all I do is pop it on the cleaning dock and it gets all the hair out and lubricates the blades to keep everything sharp. This is a replacement for an older model Braun shaver that I had long enough that the battery no longer held charge. I liked that one so I updated to the latest Braun shaver, the Series 9 PRO. I am not disappointed. The quality is up to the high Braun standard. This gives an incredibly smooth shave. It is able to catch all of the little nooks that I have on my face. I took it on a recent trip and the battery lasted for three weeks of 4 minute shaves on a single charge. I bought the package with the cleaner because there was a sale that brought the price down to almost what the shaver alone cost. The cleaner does a good job of getting everything cleaned out though I'm not sure the cost of the cleaning fluid is worth it. ... show more

Amazing. It is the most money I've ever spent on a shaver by far. It's the best razor I have ever used, by far. The most important thing in a razor is how close it shaves. I've never seen an electric shaver get this close, especially on the neck. I have sensitive skin and it is able to get close without causing any irritation. So far so good. Works well. Best shave so far from an electric shaver. VERY EXPENSIVE THOUGH! Only one issue. Beard shavings fall on your shirt if you shave sitting down?? Never had this from any shaver before??

This unit replaces the 10 year only model I was using. Very sharp blades and an efficient head design makes it easy to shave quickly. Even if I haven't shaved for days it still shaves quickly. Edge trimmer is ok and easy to use. After each use I pull the head off and shake off or tap the open side of the cutter on the counter to clear out the cuttings. Brushing and blowing out the cuttings manually takes very little time and keeps the wet cleaning solution running longer. I run the wet clean about once a week. It's easy to hold and comfortable to use. Takes up some space on the counter but it drops into the holder easily and always stays charged. ... show more

    • We have gone back 30 years, but it cuts great.

Works great! One gripe I have is my old activator had a lightning type of cord connector that made it easy to plug in no matter how you held it. That was over 20+ years ago. So now we have gone back 30 years to the old style two pin with a weird curve. Also, you can’t use the plug to shave if your razor’s battery is dead. So it makes this razor truly disposable. My old activator you could plug it in and use it too. Update: After some time with this razor I’m taking away another star. It doesn’t cut great, in-fact it hurts. You have to press it hard against your face for it to cut decent. It doesn’t cut nearly as good as my old 22yr old Activator. Plus the cleaning base on the old activator has a heating element which dries the razor fast. This new one doesn’t, it has a fan with no heat and it takes forever to dry. In fact it doesn’t even dry all the way. You have to press it on a paper towel to dry it. It’s a big fail. One good thing it has is the battery lasts a very long time but as far as drying and cutting, stick to your old razor. Over priced!!!! ... show more

Excellent shaver that does exactly what it should. Very smooth and close shave that doesn't irritate my skin at all. If you wash the shaver very well with hot water after each shave, the cleaning fluid it comes with stays clear and lasts a long time. Highly recommend this product.
