  • Did the Job!
I purchased this product so that I could move the thermostat from it's original location near the Air Intake. I couldn't move the original it would be to difficult to run new wiring. The home even though small 1300 sq ft. had areas that were not the same temperature. I called tech support before purchasing , I forget the gentleman's name but he was knowledgeable and very helpful. It arrived promptly it was installed and working in no time at all. I can now sleep through the night as the bedroom stays at the same temperature as the other parts of the house. I can no wake up sweating without having to make the house like an icebox :) Good product works well. Very please :) ... show more

  • it works
Very Glad the maker is producing wireless TStats... it wires and works as designed, and is feature rich. One size fits all applications, with proper wiring and programming. Good quality, good documentation... however, the documentation for first time users could be more clear...use a few more words to simplify or make clear the terms u are using. But, at least its not Chinglish! The one issue I have is.... for basic HC unit, when replacing an existing Stat.... the unit requires the included plenum sensor to be installed in the return air to operate. It operates as a safety, and turns on AC above 85 deg or below 40 deg. However, its not possible to get the sensor in existing construction in most cases. So the alternative is, keep this plenun sensor atop the thermostat, kind of ugly, but it solves the problem. I called tech support, and they mentioned I could buy a 10K resistor and jump it between P1 and P2 as a cleaner solution, this will override it. However, why not include a switch on the PC board, that can be switched when the plenum sensor is elected not to be used. The thought of having to buy a cheap resistor and install it, requires a call back to install it for pros, or makes homeowners jump through hoops. Clearly a design oversight IMO. Also did not see this resistor option in the installers manual, only by phoning tech support My other pet peeves...why not allow 2 remote thermostats?? One upstairs, one downstairs, that is the beauty of wireless??? The older, now defunct wireless systems allowed multiple T Stats Another pet peeve, why not allow the TStats to be wall mounted, as they are, AND, flip stand in the back so you can place it on table top where you want, like table by couch, etc. would not add much cost, but would surely add to the convenience factor. Anyway, the product works, its priced fair and it has USA support, so I am not overlooking the obvious here, its a good product...hoping the maker reads this and opts to make these improvements on the next version. ... show more

  • Great product.
This wireless thermostat works wonderful. We use it in our sunroom to control a PTAC unit and it works perfectly. The thermostat is easy to program and sits nicely on the wall. You do have use batteries in the wall unit and it can be a bit difficult to remove from wall to replace. You just have to be careful and not force it. This product came on time and we have had no issues with it at all. ... show more

  • Works as advertised
We moved into a rental house a few days ago. Right away I noticed that the room temp was nowhere near what the Nest thermostat was set at. Come to find out some dufus put the thermostat on a wall the heat duct runs through. The wall is a few degrees warmer to the touch than other areas. This unit solved the problem, and I am using it as a "portable" thermostat for now. I will mount it when I find the spot that mirrors the temp on the sofa. Seems like a very well made product, and was very easy to install. ... show more

  • Great product and a very good price.
Excellent device and was the answer to my problem with old pneumatic thermostats. The set up with the options was a little difficult to understand. (Deviation from the factory default settings) It took me a little time to master, and still have a few questions. Well-designed device! (I am an EE)

  • Gives temperature where you'r at, not in the hallway
This thermostat works well and costs half compared to the rip off price another brand charges. It runs 2 degrees higher but deviates 1 to 3 degrees higher compared to actual temperature. The heat/cool/off lettering are small, cannot see unless you have 20/20 vision. Missing a bracket on back so it won't stand up, can't see the display when they face up to the ceiling. Back light feature is nice and needed. I put it on bedside so the A/C and furnace sends the temperature where I am at, not the hallway's temp, like most houses, mine doesn't have return air in the bedroom, when door's closed, it tends to get too hot or too cold, totally different from the temp in hallway where conventional thermostats are mounted. Now I can sleep without having to wake up to adjust the thermo. For the longest time I wonder why people continue to put thermostat on a place like hallway where no one stays, this make a lot of sense as I can move it to wherever I am at in the house. ... show more

  • Issue.
I replace the static thermostat on my HVAC system with this one. Easy enough to install but i have encountered an issue that may or may not be solely with the wireless thermostat. Sometimes it looses continuity and has the control unit has to be powered down, reset, and brought back up. When this happens the furnace will no operate only the fan runs. This may be a problem for some but as a part time HVAC repairman i take care of it myself. ... show more
