Description

The digital non-programmable thermostat shall be a Braeburn 1020NC number 1020NC, 3.62” high x 4.72” wide x 1.38” deep, powered independently with either 24 volt AC or with two “aa” alkaline batteries (3.0 volt dc). the thermostat shall be compatible with single stage gas, oil or electric heating or cooling systems including single stage heat pumps and 250Mv – 750Mv millivolt heating systems. The thermostat shall have a bright blue backlight display, adjustable temperature limits and separate sub-base for trouble free installation. Temperature control range shall be between 45° and 90° F (7° and 32°c), accuracy of +/- 1° F (+/- .5° c), humidity range between 5% and 95% relative humidity. The thermostat shall include non-volatile memory to retain user settings. Thermostat shall have low battery indication and a front reset button will return user settings to default values when pressed. The thermostat can be mounted to a horizontal junction box.

Ordered this thermostat to replace existing one in our new house. We had installed this thermostat in our previous home and liked the simplicity of it. I purchased this for my camper because the thermostat before would not turn the heat on if it got below 42F. I really like this unit and that it displays the set temperature continually. The only slight negative is that the switches feel a little cheap. Hopefully they will last.

I expected this to work. I had it professionally installed. It did NOT work, I had to hit reset on it and got weird numbers.... "11" ? What the hell is 11? or 21? I paid a lot for this, because it was recommended as a good brand. I bought another one for more than 1/2 the price that works like a charm. Sorry. This didn't pass my acid test. ... show more

    • Thermostat function works great, mounting needs help
This thermostat works fine electrically and is very easy to set. It is a good basic digital thermostat for those who don't wish to deal with programming a more complex unit. Unfortunately, unlike its larger non- NC brother, this unit just will not stay stuck to its mounting plate. The locking tabs aren't long enough it seems. Since the mounting plate holds the unit to the wall AND provides electrical connections, that's kind of a problem, so I'm docking it two stars it otherwise would have earned based on performance alone. (I installed four units and all had the same problem.) ... show more
