The sound quality is really impressive. However, getting there isn't the easiest thing in the world. First, to be able to charge these three separate devices, the version I ordered did not include a charge box or anything like that. Each of the little microphones has its own little charge dock and cable, and the main module has its own charge cable. So save time, this reviewer charged them at the same time with a charger that has three ports. That's not convenient. The round microphones in each dock must be rotated to the correct position so that the charge pins line up. There is a little detent that's easy to miss, which is intended to help align them in the right place. It's best to pay attention when you're dropping them into the charge docks. The instructions that are included are mostly pictographs with very few words. Fortunately when you figure out the buttons on each devices (the molded icons are tiny) the microphones instantly pair to the main module. There is a fabric storage bag into which one is supposed to store all of these parts without somehow losing all of them. It's just a bag, and there are a lot of loose parts. We have a lot of magnets here. There are little round disc magnets that you can use to secure the microphone through your clothing. They are also used to secure the microphone into the little round charge dock. Plan on losing them because they are small. There are clips with more magnets on them for attaching the microphones. You clip these onto your clothing. The magnet in the microphone snaps onto the magnet on the clip. There are two different adapters that fit tightly into the main module. One is Lightning and one is USB type-c. Choose the one depending on the device you're using. They're inserted at a 90° angle and then rotated up into position to where they are orthogonal to the main body of the module. Alrighty, we are now ready to play. Stick the module into the port on your phone or laptop or camera or whatever needs a microphone. Attach the microphones to whatever or wherever it is you want to listen to sound using either magnets or the clips with the magnets in them. Power each of the three devices up, and begin recording video. If the moment you wanted to record has passed because of the 15 minutes of fumbling with all the parts (after all 3 units are charged), sincerely sorry. However, the fiddly fumbling around is rewarded with quite impressive sound, actually. Noise canceling does work without being intrusive and voices and other sounds are incredibly crystal clear. So technically, these work great as microphones and the Bluetooth connections were automatic and flawless. For $89.99 at the time of ordering, the technical performance is there, but the annoyance and lack of a central charging dock is a huge disappointment. There are simply too many fiddly little parts that will absolutely be lost. So getting to the part where it just works takes too much time and effort. Perhaps if someone is giving a presentation and someone else is using their camera phone with the module in it to record the presentation, the setup can be done in advance and is totally worth it because the performance is excellent. The technical performance is five stars. The fiddliness and lack of a cohesive product charging and storage system is two stars. Math says this should be 3 and 1/2 stars in consideration of the price. Because we don't have half stars here on Amazon, this reviewer is kindly rounding it up to four stars.

As a brand, BOYA probably doesn't get the love they deserve. For well over a decade, they've been making high quality, reasonably priced microphones and accessories for the booming 'content creation' demographic. I've had the pleasure to use a number of their products and have been impressed at their consistent quality. Invariably, they give the impression of a product that *should* cost significantly more than it does based on performance. There was a time when the average person simply couldn't afford a wireless microphone system. I remember the first time I used one--the only way I had been able to do it was because my brother was in film school and checked out one from the department. That has changed dramatically and there are quality wireless systems on the market at every price point. Even entry level products can provide servicable functionality for most basic use cases. This BOYALINK 3 system is a bit up the food chain from 'entry level' but still extremely affordable. The size and form factor is decidedly 'small and sleek'. The transmitters are small, thin and weigh next to nothing. One really nice quality of this product is that it is 'system agnostic'. Too often you have to buy accessories than can be used only by certain products--eg: iPhone, PC, DSLR camera. BOYA instead delivers the versatility and cross platform compatibility. It comes with every connection you might need: USB-C, Lightning and a 3.5mm audio jack. If you travel alot as I do, you really appreciate a product that you can use with a variety of content creation devices. You *really* appreciate a product that is this high quality, compact and easy to transport. The AI powered noise cancellation is probably the 'star of the show' when it comes to performance. The product description says that it can silence 700 thousand noise types and while I haven't counted them all nothing in my experience has made me question this. The noise cancellation is so good that the BOYALINK 3 has become my 'go to' for video conferencing, etc. in environments that are less than ideal. Even in a noisy airport, I never have to worry about being heard. I guess I should note that my needs are all about clarity and not about sound quality (eg: music). I have no reason to think that it wouldn't transmit music, vocals, etc. as well as it does spoken audio content. In fact, the bundled smartphone app has customizable EQ modes including a 'Music' preset. Transmission range is a very solid 984 feet while battery life clocks in at 30 hours (with charging case). Mics can be fast-charged in 90 minutes and can be used while charging. Another cool feature of this system is multi-device support. 1 transmitter can pair with up to four receivers simultaneously. It's very common to find yourself wanting to record different content formats simultaneously and this system makes it a cinch. Overall, it's a great value for any number of content creation use cases. It's a first rate product sold at a value price. It's a perfect choice for novice content creators but good enough that they won't have to immediately upgrade as they improve. One of the best quality to value wireless systems available. Highly recommended!
