I have a 2001 Chev silverado and was tired of my tailgate looking weird without this piece. Opened the package and walked over to my truck, lined it up, and pushed gently. Problem solved

Waste of money. It didn't even fit on the handle correctly and the double-side tape didn't even stick. I prepped the surface with wax and grease remover and again with sprayway glass cleaner before installing it so it was perfectly clean.
