It comes semi-assembled, with 4 main frame pieces that need connecting. The instructions are not very helpful, if you’re not careful you will end up rebuilding it a few times. I recommend laying out the pieces paying attention to the slat slots, make sure they are on the same side on all frames, that mistake cost me 45 minutes to fix. A simple notation on the instructions would save people the hassle. The iron bars are decent quality, they fit together well, and it comes with the tools needed to build. Another suggestion is to place the bolts from the outside going in, that way when you place the cover over at the end it doesn’t tear or rip. Overall, if you’re looking for a decent box-spring type frame for a decent price, this is a good value. Just be ready to spend a good solid hour or two putting it together. It’s durable and looks great!
