These work very well! Initially, I worries that I ended up with more weight that what I can handle. But, they are precisely intended to provide an alternative to the gym where heavy weights are available. So far, I am enjoying them.

I would still buy these knowing what I know now. I already had the 52.5lbs version. Those are amazing, and I've been using them for more than 12 years. I bought the 90lbs version because I got tired of my heavier screw on dumbbells. They are a pain to change the weight and more than once I've dropped weights on my fingers. So, I was hoping for a heavier version of the weights I've loved for over a decade. These are just as easy to set the weight as with the older set. They make a nice clicking sound. They are bigger (which is expected as they're 90lbs). The 5lbs weight increment is fine. However, there are some substantial downside. 1) The grips hurt. I'm used to moving around heavier dumb bells, and I've never had a problem before. These leave marks on my hands. I wrapped them with bicycle tape... but maybe I should have used a cheaper brand as now the grips are rather fat. It hasn't impacted my weight lifting... so I guess it's fine. Just prepare yourself that you'll need to wrap the grips unless you already use gloves. 2) It's required to use a strap to solidly attach the weights to the stand. This is infuriating as these are new units and they should have been designed to properly attach to the stand with screws like their 52.5lbs weights are. To add insult to injury, if you do put the straps on, your hands will hit the plastic part of the strap every time you take the weights on and off, risking a cut. I decided to live on the dangerous side and not use the straps. 3) The weight plates seem to be a bit looser than on the 52.5 version. I have to be more precise to put the weights back. This is, of course, compounded by the fact that they're heavier and are harder to put back regardless. 4) The stand is just a little bit shorter than the older stand. Means I have to bend just a little bit more. The weights are great otherwise. Easy to change the weight, has a nice clicking sound. The numbers are a little hard to see, but not a deal breaker. I didn't have the problem where they hurt when resting on my knees before a set; either I'm doing it differently or they updated them. I'll update the review if there turns out to be longevity problems.
