I was looking for something to keep me busy while I was on the treadmill. I was getting tired of FPS games, so when I found this, I thought it looked like fun. And it was. But it was a bit of challenge understanding the best way to interview suspects/witnesses. Also, driving the old cars from the 1940s was an acquired skill, especially with brakes that don't work as well as modern brakes. Also, the vehicles are as big as a boat, so maneuverability on the streets of LA takes a bit of practice. Caused a lot of property damage all the way through the game, especially during chase scenes. Definitely an adult themed game so I would not allow kids to play this game until they are mature enough to handle those situations (nudity, drug usage, some blood, gore, etc). ... show more

The storyline actually makes you feel like you're in a noir. The driving mechanics are fun and anxiety-inducing. The L.A. aesthetic is a wonderful love letter to old Hollywood. And the songs they composed (sung by the lead from Propaganda) are amazing.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my wife. It arrived two days early and in good condition. My wife is very happy and plays the game all the time. Some of the missions are a little unclear. You have to be patient with the game it is over a decade old.

My son loves it . Detective work , catching the bad guys , driving all around . Interactive and fun . It is a bit frustrating when it doesn’t save to a certain point and you have to restart an episode all over again but overall love the 40s atmosphere and the vibe of this game.
