  • Excellent Value, Nice Coat
My behemoth boy wanted a coat, & picked this one. It arrived & he loved it. This coat is warm without extra weight. It looks great, is roomy, flattering, & long enough to cover his rear. It comes to mid thigh so those areas are protected from wind and rain. It is soft, comfortable, sturdy & nice. Great value for the price. ... show more

  • Great coat, keeps you warm!
Size: 4X-Large Big Color: Black
I got this for my husband and he loved it! It’s very warm and I got a 4XL to be safe, which was big on him, but fits perfect when he has a hoodie on, which he usually does. It’s a great length, not sure but also not crazy long. I love that you can choose to unzip the hood part of it if you don’t want to have the hat attached. The inside is so soft and warm. All in all, great purchase and don’t regret buying! Well worth the money ... show more

  • That they keep the wearer warm anlne dry.
Size: Large Tall Color: Black
It took awhile to get 🔙 t my grandsons both say the it coat is warm and to absorbs moisture without seepiing in. I lov d the cost and the fit. Both oys are tall and one is husky while the other one is bulking up from weight training. No issues with that and As it has been below zero since me days as they walk to school, I don't have to remind them to wear their coat! As I normally would. These coats are a good choice. ... show more

  • Warm as a Yeti’s Armpit, With Pockets for All Your Regrets
Size: 3X-Large Big Color: Black
Look, when you’re built like a refrigerator with legs (6’4”, 320 lbs, broad shoulders, belly that arrives five minutes before the rest of me), finding a coat that actually fits without turning you into a walking sausage casing is a minor miracle. This Boulder Creek parka is that miracle. Ordered the 4XLT and it fits like it was tailored for me—plenty of room in the chest and shoulders, long enough in the sleeves and body that I don’t get the dreaded cold lower-back gap when I reach up or bend over. The fleece lining is legitimately warm down into the teens without needing seventeen layers underneath, and the outer shell shrugs off wind and light snow like it’s offended by them. The six pockets are no joke: two deep handwarmers, two chest pockets big enough for gloves or a phone, and two massive cargo-style pockets low down that can swallow a paperback, snacks, keys, wallet, and still have room for impulse purchases. Detachable hood is a nice touch—snap it off when you’re driving or it’s just raining, keep it on when the wind’s trying to peel your face off. It’s not perfect. It’s heavy—once you’ve got it loaded with all your junk, you feel it. The zipper is sturdy but takes a little muscle, and the outer fabric attracts dog hair and lint like it’s auditioning for a lint roller commercial. After a season it still looks good, but it’s definitely a workhorse, not a fashion piece. If you need something sleek for date night, keep scrolling. If you need a big & tall winter coat that keeps you warm, dry, and organized without squeezing the life out of you, this is it. Four solid stars—does exactly what it promises, just doesn’t do it quietly or lightly. Already planning to grab another color. ... show more

  • 2nd parka I've owned by these guys. LOVE it.Don't spend more on less!!!
This is an EXCELLENT winter coat, able to withstand our Minnesota winters --which can sometimes feel like living on the moon for 5 months--and keep me toasty warm. The fleece lining makes all the difference. This is the second Boulder Creek coat I have owned. After 6 years the first one was starting to look a bit ratty, so I got another one.. I am 5' 11", 240 lbs, so I got the 2X extra large (Big 2XL, not the tall 2XL), and it fits perfectly. The sleeves come down to about halfway between my wrist and knuckles, just the way I like it, and leaves enough room for layers underneath if I so choose without being too tight. It comes down to about mid-thigh or so, a nice coat length. It has plenty of pockets, including that invaluable inside breast pocket, and is much warmer than you might expect from a parka this lightweight. Being soft and lightweight, it doesn't constrict your movement much either. It has kept me warmer than ANY coat I have ever owned, ALL winter long. No piercing winds get through, none of those late-night or early morning frigid temps get to me while waiting for the car to warm-up, it will seal you up from the bitterness nice and cozy. and although I do not think it is waterproof, I have never once in 6 years gotten wet inside it. In the dead of winter, when I combine this coat with a couple cotton layers underneath (a long t-shirt and a light sweater) with my Sorel's, a scarf, good gloves and a rabbit fur trappers hat, there were times that I found myself even getting a bit warm, even in night time, subzero temps. It is a soft, light, cozy-warm parka. It looks great, feels even better, and the price is right. don't hesitate, it's a great coat. ... show more

  • The perfect coat!
Size: XX-Large Big Color: Black
I've owned this coat for 9, yes 9 years and it's been the best winter coat ever. I wear it with a tshirt and hoodie every winter when temperatures drop below 20F degrees. Still looks like new, no defects whatsoever. Highly recommended.

  • Nice big coat, but tight neck and little hood make it just okay.
Pros: Torso seems well insulated. Nice and long. Plenty of pockets. Fits well around the wrist. Zips up all the way to cover neck well. Cons: For a 2xl coat, there are a few odd fit issues. One - While it's very nice that it zips up to cover your neck well, it gets somewhat tight around the neck. Also the hood, while decently insulated, is also small and I have a very difficult time closing the velcro fasteners well enough to stay attached. These maybe should have been snaps to be more secure and extend the flap length to make it easier to attach. The rest of the coat seems plenty big around the chest and waist, even if you are wearing layers underneath, so I'm not sure why they chose to make the neck and head so tight. Another minor issue is that the sleeves are not nearly as well insulated as the hood and torso. For me this is minor because when it's really cold I'll be wearing long sleeved layers underneath. The zippers, while I haven't had an issue yet, feel somewhat cheap so I hope they hold up over time. Overall, it's a decent coat, especially if you prefer a longer coat like I do, but the tight fit around the neck and hood areas really keep it from being more then just a 3 star product. ... show more
