The design for this set appears to be based on the original fan submission for the current Lego botanical garden modular building set. I love that set, so I was excited to get this set to see how that set evolved from this one and compare the two. I can definitely see some things in this set that evolved into that one. This set comes in a large re-closable box with a nice color photo on the front. The pieces come in numbered bags that correspond to the instructions in the included instruction book. The instruction book is well illustrated and clearly details how the pieces are to be assembled. The quality of the pieces is good. The colors are mostly white with some pearlescent gold pieces. The set includes several large, curved clear pieces for the glass walls. These come individually wrapped so they don’t get scratched. The assembly is a bit of a challenge since the curved glass pieces aren’t as structurally sturdy as brick build walls. You need to be careful when applying pressure to some of the glass piece locations, but once all of the pieces are together and locked in the finished build is pretty sturdy. The set comes with 12 light bricks. They are round 2x2 bricks that require twisting to turn them on. I am not a big fan of these as it can be a pain to access them and twist them on once they are placed in the building, and when the batteries go out they are almost impossible to replace. Two of the twelve I received didn’t work. I tried to dissassemble them to replace the batteries but the tiny clips that hold everything together broke off on both of them. The set includes a lot of plant and tree builds which tracks with the botanical garden theme. These are what add most of the color to the build. The completed set is stunning. Placed next to the Lego version, I can see why they made the changes they did to produce the currently available design, but you can the inspiration for that set in this one. I am thrilled to have this in my collection displayed next to it’s Lego counterpart.

This Botanical Greenhouse Themed Garden Building Set is fantastic! My 9 year old daughter built it all by herself. It was a little challenging for her, but she still managed it thanks to the extensive directions and quality of the bricks. I forgot to take a picture when it was fully built, but my picture represents the quality (she was taking it apart at this point to rebuild a personal design. This greenhouse brick build is made of bricks that are just as good of quality as the name brand. The plastic thickness, longevity, quality, and build are all the same as the name brand. They are totally compatible in loook and function so you can mix these in with your regular bricks and would not notice the practical difference. The instructions are printed very nicely, on quality paper, and are though and easy to understand. My daughter is 9 so it took her a while, but the instructions are easy enough that the challenge is no longer fun. A kid who is not patient might find the build harder, but my daughter is very patient and meticulous. This is a several hour build, is what I mean by patient. There are so many cute features. The flowers are pretty, and there are several birds. The curves and intricate design of the building and plants are fun. The lights work fantastically. All in all, this is a fantastic set for cheaper than the name brand.

This botanical garden building is branded JIE STAR, and I’ve generally had good experiences with their sets. This one has a unique design that is sure to stand out in your display or city layout — the building is filled with glass panels including several large corner window pieces that help show off the lush interiors. The architecture is stately and integrated with a generous swath of greenery and floral elements. There is an area for birds to perch, a swing, and a small pool area. The floorplan should make this model easy to integrate into an existing city layout. The LED lights include 2x2 cylinders that you twist to turn on (batteries included). You also get 2 surprise minifigures with their own instruction poster. The parts come in numbered bags and are compatible with Lego. The instructions are in a matte-cover, perfect bound book with good step pacing and should be easy to follow for most builders. At over 2200 pieces, it’s a great value, especially if you can catch it at the current coupon price of less than $90.

The Lynbric botanical garden building set is going to be a lot of fun to assemble! The bricks are packaged in a beautifully organized manner: each bag contains the pieces for two or three sections. Within the bag, they are further separated by the section number and sequence. As you go through the nearly 200 page instruction book, you open one bag at a time and follow the illustrations. The instructions are almost exclusively illustrations that show the portion you're working on and identify the pieces. I'm not ready to work on it just yet, but I put together the few pieces that were not in bags; they fit together nicely. There's also a brick remover included, which will be helpful if you need to remove the small bricks. I'm on the computer a good part of the day, and I like having a screen-free activity when I need a break or just as a relaxing thing to do at night. I used to love putting these together with my daughter when she was a kid, and now I can have my own mega-set to work on. I'm looking forward to putting this together.

This is a very cool building set, especially if you enjoy architectural-style builds. The greenhouse structure looks great once it starts coming together, and the botanical garden details make it feel more complete than just a basic building model. I really like that it includes the garden items inside, which adds a lot of character to the finished display. The LED lights are also a nice touch and make the whole set stand out more when it is displayed on a shelf, desk, or table.
