Pump didn't work out of the box, fitting for the pump to hose wrong size. Lid on fermenting pot leaks won't seal. Save your money.

This is a prefect still for anyone just starting out. It has pretty much everything you need, easy to assemble, and is pretty much ready to go in under an hour.

The copper elbow for the boiler lid was missing. This is a good stainless steel pot still. It works quite well. Two issues needing improvement: 1. The condenser cooling pump is rubbish. It worked intermittently then quit altogether, so I decided to just use a garden hose to run through the condenser. 2. The thumper needs a thermometer. As this is a secondary condensing unit, the vapor temperature here matters. Some of the bulkhead fittings need to be tightened, but altogether this is a good value. Purchasing the parts separately at hardware would cost significantly more.
