  • We believe this is a good product and would recommend it to others it run several things and works well for under emergency
We believe this is a good product and would recommend it to others it run several things and works well for under emergency circumstances inflating many items for us We bought this AIRCAT 1055-TH Compact 1/2" Impact, Small, Grey sold an Amazon here's the link https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00URRB9JW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 We use this tank in this impact gun to remove the Lugnuts on our car Nissan midsize truck we have no problems we don't do it daily for shop but we have no problems if we need to change the tire with it at all when changing the tire the tank runs from time to time but has no problems taking the Lugnuts off and tightening back up We fill up a bike tires car tires but many people use nitrogen in the car so emergency purposes this would work, Soccerball football kids toys and stuff like that the compressor works well for, The impact gun which we use or talked about above we just use it if we got a flat and we had to change the tire on the cars we're not saying we would use this daily in the shop. If you're trying to change a tractor or 18 wheeler or really large loader or some heavy industrial equipment this definitely won't work. It works well for us on passenger cars and light duty trucks. It's a small size and great to throw in the back of a car behind the seat on the backseat etc. We provided the links and hope the review helps others thank you ... show more

  • Mighty Little Pump That Could
Wow. I'm impressed. And I'm not easily impressed by new tools. I was very skeptical of something this small will provide enough air to do the job. I have use a number of other brands in the past & they just don't measure up to the bigger twin tank performance. I have been a contractor for over 21 years. My guys & I put these tools through their paces. I am happy to report that this compressor is well built, met our demands when needed, and comes with many thoughtful design details. The pump provides fast recovery of air each time it cycles through. There were never more than 10 seconds between cycle on & cycle off. Our normal expectations were 30 to 40 seconds recycle times. This compressor is marvelous. And the noise is well below most other twin tank compressors. The compressor also is equipped with a universal female coupler. So both styles of male fittings will work. We used it to supply air to our trim guns. Two guns can be used at the same time. We have all different szies from 15ga to 23ga. The pump will bring the tank pressure to 150psi. We set the output to 90psi. All the guns works equally well from this compressor. It is extremely light weight at 22lbs. Our twin tank weights in at 58lbs. Size is also very compact, about half the size compare to the twin. I can't recall ever liking a compressor so much. I have not tried this with a framing nail gun yet. But I don't expect to do that. It is not designed nor intended for that application. Buy this thing before the price goes up. ... show more

  • Great little compressor...until it broke after less than one year
I use this to run staplers and trim nailers at 90 - 100 PSI. Yes, the tank is small and recharges often - but it recharges quickly, and because the compressor cuts in at 125 PSI and takes it back up to 150 it stays well above my operating pressure so there's no issue with the last few nails not driving in all the way. And that small tank makes it very lightweight and portable. It's not super-quiet, but that's a fair tradeoff for the extra power. It's well laid out, cord and tool storage and a housing that protects the gauges and motor. Couldn't be happier! UPDATE March 2015: The motor has a cast aluminum frame that bolts it to the chassis. Apparently one of the flanges broke off, leaving unusual pressure on the others which also broke or came loose. None of this was visible or obvious because the plastic housing hides everything. I drilled some holes in the remaining part of the motor frame and reattached to the chassis - worked for another few months but broke again. Patched it back together again, and it broke again - just too much vibration and pressure on the motor frame for a backyard repair to be effective. Too bad - the motor runs like a champ and the compressor has given me a lot of good service, but I can't take a chance that the fourth breakdown will come in the middle of a big job so I am replacing it with something else. ... show more

  • Huge performance in a small package
This is an excellent compressor, really impressed with its performance and solid build. First of all it has a good sound. Like any compressor it is loud but it is a low bassey idle as opposed to a high pitched shriek (like the unbearable campbell hausfeld I replaced). The sound is similar to a very high end contractor compressor. I have framed a new steam shower with a framing nailer and installed 500 sq ft of 3/4" hardwood flooring powering a floor stapler and nailer (I did not run 2 spilt lines from the compressor and only ran one device at a time), but it had no problem keeping up. Not sure how often it cycled on as I store it in my garage and use a 100ft line to do work throughout the house, but I do not believe it was running excessively. I timed it at around a minute to top off from empty, a little longer than other reviews but I am running it at 7000ft elevation. This is great for any DIY'r, trim carpenter, or any carpenter looking for a compressor to carry to small jobs, punch lists etc. It is solid and ready for the jobsite and it fits in a very small space out of the way. ... show more
