  • Great system works great. Straightforward install
First of all I want to say I am very pleased with this system. The system works well. And is plenty loud enough to hear on the highway. Bass is satisfactory but given that there is no subwoofer there is a limit to the bass. The mounting the speakers is very simple and straightforward. Mounting the amp is trickier since you have to find a safe spot on your bike but then it’s easy too. As far as wiring the system with some basic know how you can do this yourself because paying a shop to do it will get expensive. Think double to triple what the system cost to buy the system. If you are going to install yourself some things to know: First if you want to wire it directly into the battery you will need a rocker on off switch if not you’ll need to know where you can find a wire that is only love when the key is on. I personally wired mine to my headlight wiring at the battery. Second you may need to extend the wires depending on your vehicle’s size I personally added a foot to give me some slack on the wires. This means you may need to buy wiring and tools to link the wires. Third you will want some kind of zip or cable ties to keep the wires running neatly. Fourth you will want to be familiar with your vehicle. I have a Honda Shadow 750 I mounted this on and the best way to wire a bike is following other cables on the bike which means going under the tank. Typically this is simple and it sounds a lot harder than it is. Fifth this is not a tool free install you need a wrench to tighten the speaker nuts and any tools you need to get to your battery and wherever you want run the wires. Last don’t get discouraged. This is not a hard install just don’t expect to just plug in and go this will probably take you a couple hours to do right. But it’s worth it. Also there is a video on YouTube where a guy installs this exact system that may give you an idea ... show more

  • Easy to install and easy to use
Sounds excellent. Easy to install on my Roadking. Clean and loud at 80 plus mph. Bluetooth connect almost instantly to my iPod. The output isn’t quite as loud when my iPod is plugged into the input with a cable.

  • OK if you just need tunes on your ride and are not an audiophile
The speakers are acceptable for the price. I mounted them on the rails on my 2015 RZR 1000. The speakers have been through sand, mud and dust and I have pressure washed them many times while cleaning the RZR after rides. They still work fine with no water damage that I have noticed. The price is good as a entry level sound system for my RZR, but the sound is not speactacular. The speakers are mainly flat sounding and only play in the mids as there is no real highs and of course no low frequencies given their tiny size. All in all an OK speaker package that holds up against the elements so far, the sound is loud enough to hear zooming down the trails with helmets on, but not really clear or with any high range sound. I would suggest these speakers if you just need speakers that will hold up to the elements and don't need impressively clear music from them. ... show more

  • Blown away by the volume!!!
I’m seriously impressed with this BOSS sound system. I installed it on my 2003 GSX-R1000 and wasn’t sure if I could fit four speakers up front, but I managed to get three up there and placed the fourth in the trunk next to my LED controller. Now my lights strobe to the beat—super cool effect. The video I posted shows it playing at the lowest volume setting, and it’s still loud. My bike is straight piped, so I was worried I wouldn’t hear the music while riding but I can hear it clearly over the exhaust even at 60 mph. At 80+ mph, you can still hear it well, especially if you don’t have an extremely loud exhaust. The sound is clean with no distortion at max volume, and the bass hits nicely. I tested it in an open parking lot and could hear it clearly from over 100 feet away. Installation was simple, just connect the power and ground to the battery; the rest is plug-and-play. Bluetooth connects fast, and the volume knob also acts as a power switch. I’ve washed my bike and the speakers held up perfectly—they’re definitely waterproof. I’ve run the system at full volume for over an hour and the amp stayed cool the whole time. The speakers feel solid and durable, and the compact amp (about the size of your palm) is easy to tuck away. Overall, the system looks great and performs even better. Highly recommend this setup won’t disappoint. ... show more

  • Loud and clear speakers!
2 year update- the color has fade just a little bit because of the sun and my bike stays outside. After 2 years of heavey use in weather there still going strong! *update* forgot to cover my bike and it rained all weekend on them. Still working great just had to clean the water droplets off then. After 8 months I still 100% recommend these. 👌 First off the finish in theses look great. Sound quality is clear and at 80mph behind my shield I can here it clearly. The volume control is awesome mounted it Right under my horn. Haven't tested the weatherproof part yet. You do not need an extra switch for these. If you don't know how to wire these into your accessories switch find someone that can. For the mounts, the rubber pieces that came with it did not fit my bike with 1in bars. The thin ones were too small and the thick ones were too big. Went to Ave and got a sheet of rubber that was double the size of the thin one and it worked great. I love these and for reference I have a vulcan VN2000. 2000cc bike with cobra pipes with no baffles and I can here them At highway speeds. Use an equalizer to take out the bass though these weren't made for bass. I have my Spotify on the "rock" setting and it works great. Hope this helps ... show more

  • Good speakers just started to fade with in 1 month of having
Nice speakers sound pretty good. Wish it had a little more bass but cant complain for the price. My only issues is the black set started to fade/ discolor after left uncover during unexpected rain maybe 3-4 times.

  • I mounted all 4 speakers on my engine guard... No need to add an on/off switch to this system. Wired to factory switch.
I've had my speakers installed for about 300 miles or so and I am very impressed with the sound! I mounted all 4 speakers on my engine guard just didn't want anything on my handle bars for looks purposes and I personally think it looks great. I ride with a full face helmet and riding at speeds of about 75mph I can hear the music but just barely but riding thur town ohh it turns heads. I did read lots of reviews and did see people talking about it don't have a an on/off switch. Well you don't need one. The way I wired mine I got a digital voltmeter and found me a light wire that cuts power on when I put the switch in accessory or ignition so the amp will only cut on if that switch is turned and that has been working out great for me. Now for the installation there are no instructions! The paper it comes with just shows you the wiring diagram, these are your speakers wires here and this is your positive and negative and this is your volume control and that's pretty much your "instructions". I mounted my volume know on my left hand side controls I just made me a little bracket painted it black removed the bottom screw put the bracket and placed the screw back on. Now where I had a bit of trouble is getting the clamps to close on the engine guard I needed a pair of vise grips to close the clamp and install the screw and nut in. I also used a foam to put between the clamps and the engine guard. Now one thing I wish BOSS AUDIO would have done is also have switch or buttons to go with the volume know to be able to change the track and pause and play the music, you have to do that by your phone or whatever device you are using for music. I did send BOSS AUDIO an email about that but have got no reply. But over all I recommend this to anyone. Good bang for the buck. I've added a good amount of pictures of my set up for you all to see. ... show more

  • No customer service and cheap build quality
Initially I was somewhat pleased with my purchase, I mounted the entire thing in about an hour, it all went pretty easy and paired seamlessly with my phone to stream radio. The speakers are very loud and can be heard with a full face helmet at highway speeds however they do distort at higher volume, the quality of the sound is not the best but it’s good for the money. The reason for the single star review is because after 36 days of owning this setup, I was cruising down the highway at about 70 MPH and one of the speakers broke for no reason, the mounting bolt that comes out of the bottom of the speaker snapped off right at the base of the speaker. It had been 6 days beyond the return window so I thought, surely if I “leave feedback for the seller” through Amazon, they’ll make it right because it was not even a week since the return window closed. I sent and email and have never received a reply. Overall conclusion, Pros: 1) the setup is easy to install and has everything you need to do so 2) it looks decent/ okay Cons: 1) the sound quality is not good, at low volumes sure but if you’re running 70 down the highway you can’t hear it unless you have it turned all the way up and then the sound distorts 2) the paint is extremely thin on the nuts used to tighten the clamps down and scratches off as soon as you touch it with a wrench for installation 3) the build quality and materials used is extremely cheap and will break, it’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when 4) the seller will not respond to messages or attempt to honor their product whatsoever, the only support you will get is the standard 30 day Amazon return policy, Boss does nothing to help 5) for the money spent on this, you could get a better quality system such as a head unit and speakers meant for a boat and mount it on your bike, then you’ll have actual AM/FM instead of just bluetooth ... show more
