My back yard is in the shade most of the time and the dogs have worn it into a solid floor of dirt. I needed something to combat that and not to just have mud when it rains. I decided to do a portion of my yard in artificial turf. I learned a valuable lesson from my son who put artificial grass in his yard in Florida. He told me to get different samples and place them around the yard and see how they hold up. I have 6 different samples that have been down between a year and the last 6 months. Some did a horrible job and didn't hold up to the weather and dog traffic. Others did okay but showed wear and tear pretty quickly. I have one sample that my dogs won't walk on or sit on it. Don't know why but it did have a funky chemical smell when I opened it. This sample has been down for several weeks and looks great. When I unwrapped the yards of shrink wrap plastic, it did not have that ugly chemical smell many of the samples had. This one has flecks of different color grasses so it looks more natural and its blades are longer. My 14 year old bassett lays on this one almost every day, lazing in the sun on her old bones. I'm going to see how it does during the winter before making a final decision.

This is a larger roll of artificial grass that definitely sits right in the middle tier of quality. It’s very green, but not a horribly fake looking color. It’s medium plush with a mid-level feel to the grass that is softer than astroturf but more artificial Christmas tree than realistic grass. We’ve used artificial grass before and loved it. Our previous one had a plastic backing with almost a grid like pattern and had plenty of holes for drainage. This one has a similar backing; however, it looks more solid in design. I can see how this one might have issues in draining water properly, especially if it you get a lot of moisture such as if it rains incredibly hard. We didn’t have puddling when we laid it down, but we have had lots of rain. It’s definitely felt more wet than our other style. Additionally, the grass is nicely plush and has more movement than the super cheap ones. It didn’t feel overly prickly or stiff by any means. However, the design feels kind if disjointed and it never really fluffed up. I’m The roll arrived in a tight roll, similar to a carpet and was easy to transport around. We wanted this to use for a small dog run for our Bully who’s decided he’s too delicate for real grass, and he does loves it. It’s an excellent substitution for grass, and we definitely are getting use out of it.

I got this turf rug to use in front of our RV. We like to camp in more primitive areas and often have a problem tracking sand into the RV. Placing this at the entryway will be a huge help, and the 4' x 7' size ensures ample area coverage. It has a sturdy backing and is well-made. I didn’t think the 'grass blades' were stiff enough to stand up straight on their own, but after it had been opened up and allowed to ‘breathe’, it seemed to perk right up. Due to the vacuum shipping methods, you really can’t judge a product right out of the package. It came sealed in a very tight roll, and it just needed some time to expand. This turf is substantially thicker than the artificial turf we were using previously. I'm very happy with it.

I'm building a backyard dog run with a larger area off the side for them to be able to hang and chill in the sun when wanted I love the style and build of this particular brand of grass it's so full and soft the fact that my pups are safe to walk on it in the hot hot time of day and how incredibly easy it is to maintain is amazing the price is the best part because for this much of a solid piece would usually be a lot more considering it has the backing and buildup already attached to it I got just a no weed tarp for underneath and then a grip of the galvanized U skewers to hold it in place and then I am building my fence around it with other easy to use materials it's so easy a disabled veteran that isn't used to any yard work at all can do it !!! Thank you !!! From me and the pups !!!

This is a very good quality turf. When we had our house built in 2014 we had a dog door put in for our fur babies. We also had our backyard professionally done with turf. We recently got a smaller dog and the 10” drop from the dog door to the ground is to high for her. We build a ramp and wanted to covered it in turf. I saw this and it looked like it would be a good quality and I’m very happy that it is. The density of the turf and of the weaving of the different colors of green faux grass is great. I would recommend this turf for the DIY’s to use for sure.

This is a roll of artificial grass. It is made 4 ft wide by 7 ft long, and it has a drain through, non-slip backing. I love the way this grass rug looks, it has a nice variegated pattern of greens and brown to give it a realistic appearance. The grass is long and soft, and feels great to walk barefoot in. I used this on my front deck instead of a carpeting because I like the natural appearance of it, and I love the feel of it. This fits perfectly and looks great. The backing is sewn in tightly, and the rain passes through. We do have a sail cloth over the top of our decking, but it still gets wet at the edges from time to time. This grass rug is attractive, comfortable, and durable. I am very happy to have this to make my area look great!
