Pump out your digital music library with the BE920WCPA double DIN mech-less (No CD/DVD Player) digital media receiver with a 7 inch digital LED touchscreen monitor. You can use the built-in wireless Apple CarPlay feature to link your smartphone’s screen to the screen of the head unit and seamlessly navigate through. Android Auto users can use “OK Google” to connect to their assistant. Make your drive safer and easier by pairing your Bluetooth signal to listen to music and apps plus receive and make hands-free calls. Simply speak through the head unit’s microphone and listen via the car’s speakers. The USB & SD ports & audio video inputs are other quick options for even more entertainment. Also charge USB compatible devices. Switch to the AM/FM radio stations for a change of pace. Front and rear inputs are available if you have a couple of cameras to connect. There is a feature that lets you use the existing steering wheel controls to maneuver through your system. An interface module needs to be purchased for this operation possible. The Metra ASWC-1 is a recommended option. FLAC stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec. It is a musical file format that offers bit-perfect copies of CDs but at half the size. I rather like this unit. It works well , the interface is simple and it support true wireless apple car play. The screen and interface is good , the quality is decent and thus far no issues using it. It has a lot of configurable capabilities and has provided my VW Tiguan 2011 a new lease in sound. The only reason I am giving it a 4 star is that the unit has a SD Card slot for media in it , which in 2025 I think is a huge miss. It should at a minimum have been a USB -C. The unit does come with usb cables in the back but my car does not have ports to connect to and so those go unused behind the face plate. Depending on your vehicle you may have to buy a 3rd party harness which i did which also came with a built in speaker so i did not have to runs cables all throughout the paneling in my car. ... show more

What a junk radio. The bluetooth connection is so choppy at times. It cuts out for .5 second frequently which doesnt seem like much but when you're rocking out to your favorite jam it's annoying. Sound is decent at low volume but turn it up and the speakers distort terribly. The android auto is like the Temu version of it and I frequently have to turn the connection off because I get so frustrated with the intermittent volume levels of everything.     • Not ready for prime time! Freezes and Frustration w/ Android Auto

This is my third Boss stereo - the first two were wired Android Auto. I thought moving to Wireless would remove the headaches that I experienced with the first two, but whoa was i wrong! This thing is just as bad and introduces a whole new world of pain. Through all three of the receivers, I have used stock Google Pixel phones, the latest being a Pixel 7, which i would say largely removes the phone from the issues equation. I drive roughly 35k miles a year for my business and need a reliable means of hands-free mobile communication. Why I haven't moved on, I guess is a testament to my cheapness. With this unit in particular, I literally carry around a pin in my visor to reset the thing multiple times a day. While Android Auto is up and running, the buttons on this thing will freeze. My map is still active, so something is still alive inside this thing, but I have no ability to adjust the volume or interact with the screen. I always know this is happening because the person on the other end of the call will start getting quieter and they can barely hear me. I know there are a few other wonky things that it does, but this one is the most frequent - at least it doesn't squeal like a stuck pig like the last two did. Long story short, I have started a case with Boss. It doesn't appear that this unit is firmware upgradable, so I guess I'm stuck with its 'quirks'. Two stars, cause I guess it sometimes works and hasn't yet started on fire. Look elsewhere. ... show more

Hi, I purchased a Boss Elite BE920WCPA about 6 months ago, and it is now malfunctioning. The unit freezes, the screen becomes unresponsive, the volume does not work, and it shuts off whenever I access the settings. I have performed all standard troubleshooting steps, including a full reset and battery disconnection, with no improvement. Given that the unit is relatively new, this is clearly not normal wear and indicates a defect. I would like to request a warranty replacement or a full refund. Please let me know the next steps. This is the second one of these units that I bought, I think it’s a great deal for the money and the addition of Wireless CarPlay on this unit was a big bonus. It seamlessly connects to your phone wirelessly 99% of the time but about one percent of the time you get a fuzzy screen and have to turn the unit on and off to clear it out. That is literally my only complaint other than that, I think it’s awesome for the price. Sound quality is pretty good The microphone and GPS antenna of the unit comes with work great and this generation of screen has better contrast than the older unit .
