I wanted a bigger screen than 6.2in that also had a built in DVD player. This is one only thing this product falls short on. It has everything else I wanted and so much more I didn't even know was on the market all for a great price. I bought it with intentions of getting something else a few years down the road as technology advances. This head unit was way better than expected I'll probably be keeping it a few additional years on top of what I anticipated. Its very responsive and does not feel or look cheap. For the price you will not be disappointed you will be impressed. If you are going to use the back up camera for a truck, you will most like need a longer cable. I bought a different camera that was built into a new tailgate latch cover. Cable that came with that was so much longer and the head unit is already set up to accept different cameras than the one it comes with. And it has an option for a front camera so I can still use the one it came with for the front. Or I can put it in the bed so I can watch the video while driving to see if the load I'm hauling still looks secure. Or where ever you may want a second camera. It does not record just live feed. Remote has every button and then some for complete control. If your looking for a double din around this price range I doubt you'll find much better

It was fairly easy to install and the directions are clear. I didn’t get around to hooking up my back up camera. I am very impressed with the sound of the system. The system easily hooks up with my I-phone and streams my music and phone answering is very easy. All in all I think it was a great deal and I would recommend this system to anyone.

I regret purchasing this unit. It has a remote that is truly beyond my technological grasp and 90% of it is useless. I want up and down volume and next song on a CD. That's all. It is hard to operate-have to have perfect aim and risky to use when driving. The main knob on the unit is incredibly sensitive--raising and lowering the volume directly is hard as the slightest inward pressure goofs up the station selection and it takes lots of effort to return to your former station--guess idea is to use the unhandy remote. I suspect all new radios of this type are also disappointing in this respect, so I tolerate it. Sound is decent enough-but that is likely due to good GM speakers. I have no idea how to use the rear view camera-that is likely an accident waiting to happen. Great to have nifty inputs for you iphone, etc but none of these modern radios can compare in my mind to what GM put in its cars twenty years ago. Just cheap Chinese junk.

WARNING: If you install this head unit yourself there are no instructions. Expect it to consume a big ol' portion of your time. You will also need/I recommend getting a wiring harness, It will save you a lot of hassle. PROS: Good value. 6 different inputs to listen to your music in any fashion Pushes your stock speakers to the limit. Makes any older car shine, like an old dog that was able to learn new tricks! CONS: Cheaper quality build materials The user interface it runs on is cluttered and oddly feels like it was made in 2007. Doesn't come with installation instructions; after searching their website and calling them, the company (boss) said that they do not provide any. Only has 1 customizable equalizer setting. The stylus it comes with has no "holster" it can slide into in the unit, so it's really just another piece of plastic that will float around your car... The remote is also fairly useless; the only button I use is the "loudness" one. It has waaaayyyyy too many buttons. Details about -Bluetooth hands free & Bluetooth audio streaming Bluetooth is nice and easy to use - very useful for hands-free calls and a cable-free car. This head unit also has a small hidden mic inside the unit that it uses in place of the one in your phone. The audio quality is also nice and loud (only con is that the audio skips at least once a minute when listening to music). -Wireless remote, camera included, plays USB/SD/Mp3/wma/DVD/CD AM/FM and smart phones The wireless remote is bigger than it needs to be with more buttons than you need, and sometimes has difficulty getting the signal to the unit. The camera is a real pain to install if you don't already know your car's wiring setup. WARNING: if you install this head unit yourself and your car has no "parking brake" wire, you will need to either buy a parking brake bypass switch or use another method. Just type in "parking brake bypass boss" and you will see a couple of different solutions. If you don't plan on watching any videos or viewing any pictures using a micro SD card, DVD, or a USB stick, you wont need to mess with the parking brake, as you wont have an issue. However, if you have any pictures on your SD card (even if you only want to listen to music that's on it) and accidentally tap a picture by accident, the system will not allow you to exit out of the file you are trying to view. -Steering wheel control inputs My 2005 car doesn't come equipped with any steering wheel controls, but I saw the options to assign each button a command in the menus, so I assume it works. 80 Watts x 4 Max Power, rds tuner, balance/fader/bass/treble and preset built-in equalizer It's got a fairly standard equalizer. I go over it and the fade/audio changers in the video. Compatible with audio out from smartphones and Mp3 players This works with any device (phone, iPod, iPhone, etc.) that has an AUX port; you just need an AUX cable. In summary (TL;DR) It's an awesome head unit that won't break the bank and it will let you listen to your music (even if you have an iPhone 7). That being said, they cut a couple of corners quality wise, but by no means were they deal breakers for me. Happy listening!

Garbage, absolute garbage. The radio is so cheaply made with older tech, which wouldn't be so bad if maybe Boss bothered to qa their products and firmware. I've gone through two of these now, the second of which I'm just returning (going back to Pioneer). The Bluetooth doesn't bother to display anything on the as screen as far as whats playing, and there's no phone ok function, both of which I've seen on even the cheapest of radios these days. It crashes and reboots usually when streaming from Bluetooth, and the audio quality is meh. Today while driving to catch a train into work, it froze up completely and even after killing power at the ignition, it's stuck on. Yes it's fully wired correctly. The unit is just not turning off now. I'm fully expecting a drained battery when I get back to the train station at like 8pm tonight. Told my wife to be ready to come by so I can jump my car. Audio quality aside from Bluetooth was actually decent, but the eq is lacking so badly. No real sub control, no xover controls... Eq bands barely allow for tweaking. Seriously, garbage radio. Keep your money and spend a bit more on a better brand. Even DualAV is better....
