Description

The BOSCH JS260 top-handle jig saw provides a sturdy footplate for accuracy in the cut, as well as a 6.0 Amp motor and variable-speed control. The sturdy motor produces up to 3, 100 strokes per minute, with a 3/4 in. Stroke length. The variable-speed dial controls the maximum speed, while the accelerator trigger regulates the operating speed. This Jig saw is engineered with a low- vibration plunging design for cutting accuracy and smooth operation. It has a large heavy-gauge steel footplate. The JS260 multidirectional blade clamp delivers the superior grip of T-Shank blades (but it does not accept U-Shank blades). The tool-less T-Shank blade-change system makes blade insertion and removal quick. The tool has an always-on dust blower for max cut-line visibility and an ambidextrous lock-on button.

I bought this when it had the offer to pay it monthly and that saved me from putting down a good chunk of change right off the bat. It's very heavy but built like a tank. The fences are pretty accurate and everything was lined up and square right out of the box. It may not have the shadow cut line on it but I don't mind it at all. The gliding feature makes this saw so much better and more versatile, not that the traditional sliders are bad it's just that this gives you better options when you're limited on space. Bosch Tools Customer Support says: (MANUFACTURER) "Thank you for your review on the MS1233 crown stops. Your comments are important and we would like to be sure your satisfaction with this product is to your expectations. If you have the Bosch CM10GD glide miter saw we have created a bracket that will allow it to work" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- That bracket (2 actually) makes it work on just about any miter saw that the side of the platform base is around 90* to the face. (Look at the picture) (With a local purchase of a few #10 pan head screws, washers and nylocs. Drill 3 holes; 2 for the #10's and 1 for the lockdown knob clearance. I drilled out the bracket to accommodate #10 holes in the actual bracket also) I will write a full review on "how to" when I have the time... Pretty easy if you could see a pic of the "cast bracket" which is not shown in the picture or parts list. It is basically a 3" long cast metal plate that goes behind the crown stop adjustment arm and acts like a slider guide. Use your common sense engineering and it will work. Beats the heck out of paying $62.00 total for the L&R Hitachi stops and is way more stable. ... show more

Out of the box, Several adjustments HAD to be made. Vertical cut, horizontal cut and tension all had to be adjusted. Advice: When setting up, place the saw on a table where you have access to all sides. This thing is a beast to move around. But the biggest reason is to make the alignments when the set screws are loose, it is impossible to get the adjustments right from the back, The blade cannot be viewed against the miter square because the saw frame blocks a good view. Worked for several hours to get "close enough". The directions are easy enough to follow. It has only been in operation for less than 1 day, but seems OK to use. Have not fit any thing that requires precision yet. But knowing how close the adjustments are that were made, precision will require a block plane for final fittings, I'm sure. It is a cross over half-fast radial arm saw and tilt miter saw. Over all, pretty sad with the product. ... show more

My wife wanted crown molding in the house we just purchased and although I could make a compound Miter on my 12 inch bosch axial glide, I am always looking for things to make it easier. this jig to keep your crown in the upright position to make your miter cuts works and I like that it is quick and easy to adjust and when you are not using it you can just move it out of the way and continue making cuts on dimensional lumber. it comes with adapters if your saw has the flat edges on the table with my axial glide I have the groove for the crown stop kit to sit on, so this was not need but it is nice they send this, so that way my dad can put the stop on his Makita as well. ... show more

I purchased these to attach to a Hercules 12" saw I bought from Harbor Freight.. I drilled 2 holes in each side and attached. They work great. Very Sturdy. I would recommend these to everyone. Your unit does not have to be a Bosch. These will work on any unit. Just make sure there is nothing on the underside of the saw to prevent drilling 2 holes and inserting small bolts and nuts to secure.. I very happy with my purchase. ... show more

Firstly, once I FINALLY talked to an actual person on the telephone, customer service was excellent. However, getting there is difficult. I pay the monthly Prime fee. I ordered this part and two others for my Bosch miter saw, and on a separate order a pair of LED ceiling lights. Amazon combined these orders into one shipment, which is good, save the planet. BUT, they put them in a cheap, thin plastic bag, which inevitably ripped open in UPS’s massive equipment. UPS managed to track down one of the Bosch parts and the LED box, put them back in the original cheap thin plastic bag, tape it up and deliver it. Now is when the trouble starts. The Amazon system just can’t BELIEVE that a package would be damaged, an item removed, and then the other items actually delivered. Their supersmart system just will not allow the customer to report such an unlikely (!) occurrence. The system tells you to wait 24 hours and come back, then after 24 hours, tells you to wait 48 hours, and smartly suggests that maybe it’s at a neighbor’s house, or actually at your house, and you can’t see it. So after 48 hours, and going around in circles in their system, requesting to chat by clicking on a non-working chat button, you can request a phone call from a computer, which does EXACTLY the same thing the website does, take you in circles, suggesting (politely not saying) that maybe it’s actually at your house, or is on the way, check your tracking number, which of course, says that it is DELIVERED! Which of course the cheap thin trash ripped taped plastic bag has been. You must keep telling this computer robot phone entity no, and FINALLY, a real, live human being solves the problem in a few seconds. Wayfair are much nicer. ... show more
