Description

The Bosch GLL40-20G Self-Leveling Cross-Line Laser projects visible green laser lines, which are up to 2X brighter than standard red beams. The tool has a working range of up to 40 feet and offers reliable accuracy of +5/16 in. at 30 feet. It features Bosch-exclusive VisiMax™ technology, which monitors tool temperature and power consumption to deliver the brightest line for the job, optimized energy efficiency and long-term tool reliability. The cross-line laser is also equipped with a Smart Pendulum System allowing for automatic self-leveling and indication of out-of-level condition, as well as pendulum lock for safe tool transport. The included MM 2 Flexible Mounting Device provides a rotating 360 degree neck for quick setup and simple fine-tuning allowing for the laser to be clamped onto virtually any surface from 1/2 to 2-1/4 inches thick.

auto level @ + - 4 degrees, I mounted my unit on a tripod but the clamp provided works well also. This unit will burn through batteries, expect 3-4 hrs of runtime per set of AA batteries. I used this laser to set bathroom wall tile. No problems at all with the accuracy maintaining plumb and level lines. I haven't really tested it's ability or accuracy to work anymore than 4-8 ft away from my work surface, but I would guess the lines may get a little fuzzy and wide. I think the paperwork said 3/8-5/16 @ 40ft.. This is overcome by using the center of the beam and should be fine for most small projects.. All and all a great little laser for the price. ... show more

I've used bubble levels forever and on my latest project, a bathroom shower stall, this new level has been great. It is so much easier to get the ledger board installed for that first row of tiles on all three walls and then ensure my progress continues level up the wall. Then, vertical lines to get each wall and the offset tiles square. I have no problem seeing the the lines indoors. I was fighting that ledger board for a while--this made it easy. ... show more

I shot in 6 walls for a new room using this and it worked fantastic. Very accurate. However keep in mind it is only going to be as accurate as your knowledge of using the tool. But for those of you that know how to use these, it is fantastic

Good for kitchens and baths and any other interior needs. Does not work exterior in the daylight.

Like all, or most others, needs to be close before it will self-level. Disappointed that it doesn't say "Not for outdoor use" in the product description. Works fine indoors with controlled environment. Couldn't see the line enough to use outdoors, even under porch roof on very overcast day.
