  • I WILL NEVER BUY BOSCH AGAIN
Size: BC1455 Style: Ceramic Color: Front
Easy to install. Seem like OEM spec. Installed on my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee without HD brakes. They came with replacement metal clips and grease. The metal clips were exactly like factory ones and the grease was enough to fully cover all areas that could make a noise. Drove for a month or two so far and usually drive 1 hr each way to and from work mostly highway. No noticeable issues and low dust. Grip is pretty solid and has a good feel when braking. Edit: just had an issue with retaining spring that pops out and now inner pad knocks within the caliper. This was confirmed by a brake specialist shop. Just over 1k miles on pads....I called Bosch and they don’t offer any warranty on their product. Said I should have bought it from an autozone or another dealer that warranties someone else’s product. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL NEVER BUY BOSCH PRODUCTS AGAIN. ... show more

  • Unending brake dust and squealing!
Size: 1375H Style: Blue Color: Front
I wanted to wait till I broke in the brakes before I left an honest review. I installed the brakes myself, as I do with both my vehicles. I am experienced in knowing how to properly install brakes and putting on proper lubrication and even changing my rotors out as well. That being said, these brakes have not stopped squealing since I installed them on my 2016 VW Passat. I broke them in and thought they would stop after the first 100 miles or so. Nope, they still squeal very loud, and they leave so much brake dust! My VW rims look super dirty after the second day of washing them. These brakes are not good quality at all. To top it off, they came in an open box and the brakes were wrapped in a blue cloth. The only thing that was wrapped was the tightening clips for the calipers. I would not recommend these brakes at all! ... show more

  • PERFECT Fit and Function for 2014 Audi S4 (B8.5), includes wear sensor that worked fine for me
Size: BC1322 Style: Ceramic Color: Front
I have a 2014 S4 that has 43K miles, and finally got the brake lights that indicate the pads need replacing. I have read that that is easily a $1000 - $1500 service at the Audi dealer, and after inspecting all of the parts I could see that the rotors looked ok (and I have a caliper and could measure that they were well within the wear limits), and I could see that the rear pads had plenty of life left, so I opted to just try changing out the pads on the front myself. There are some excellent guides online in writing as well as a couple of great YouTube videos on the subject, so I figured what the heck - why not give it a try. I decided to go with ceramic pads after seeing that they drastically reduce the amount of brake dust buildup. After searching for pads, I found there are lots of options. I have used Bosch parts for various cars over the years, and they typically make great OEM replacement parts that hold up. I was surprised to see how BADLY these pads were reviewed on Amazon, but I could see the sample size was small and the main complaint seemed to be the brake wear sensor did not fit correctly, so I purchased the pads along with a separate brake sensor (about $10 extra bucks). Note that ONLY one sensor is needed (the driver's side has the sensor, but the passenger side does NOT have one). I also bought some additional brake pad lubricant (which goes on the back of the pads to reduce squealing / squeeking). Finally, I bought a little tool that pushes the caliper back into the housing so that the new pads can be "wide" enough to fit over the rotor (in hindsight, I really didn't need the $8 tool, but it made the job a little easier). So the package arrived from Amazon with the brake pads, and in the box I found a packet of brake lubricant (so I didn't need to buy the extra lube), AND the wear sensor was already hooked up to one of the pads and ready to install. Well, I found that changing out the pads was incredibly easy and took me about 30 minutes total to do both sides after I managed to get the car jacked up and wheels off. The swear sensor plug-in took me a few minutes to figure out (mostly how to get the old one unplugged from the car so that I did not damage the receiving end of the plug; basically you just spin the plug 90 degrees either direction, and THEN you can unclip it ... really not much more difficult than changing out a Christmas light bulb that is a little stubborn, not a big deal). After getting everything plugged in and bolted back together, I pumped the brake a few times until it felt normal, and then took the car out for a spin. The brake light is off, and the brakes work GREAT. With just a tap of the pedal the car doesn't want to stop (so not as much "bite" as OEM pads), but with increased pressure the car stops JUST as quick if not a little quicker. And after having the pads on for a week, the front wheels look pristine (the back wheels were not quite as bad originally, but now I can already see the difference ... when those pads wear out I will be replacing them with ceramic pads as well). So now I have an extra wear sensor and lube, but I still wound up paying well under a hundred bucks grand total (and for better quality brake pads than if I just went to a local shop or dealer). This was a fun, relatively easy, and hugely satisfying project - if you have some basic mechanical skills, I highly encourage you to dive in and change out the pads yourself. And if you have an Audi S4, know that these pads are a PERFECT fit, they work great, and the wear sensor included with the kit works just fine. Good luck and happy braking! ... show more

Size: BC1184A Style: Ceramic Color: Front
This brake pads made by BOSCH are extremely noisy at the speed lower than 1mph to completely stop, I've seen review saying it's noisy before buying but doesn't pay too much attention, should have listened and save my time and my back... here is the full story: At first I thought it's me installed the pads incorrectly, therefore I jack up the car, re-apply the noise-reduction lubricant at all the contact points, after hours of work and a sore back, the car still squeeze to a stop, wake all my neighbors up in the morning. Then I jack up the car two more times, first time I re-surface the brake rotor at machine shop, 2nd time I re-apply the lubricant again, and yet.. the car still squeeze to a stop. The fourth time I replace the BOSCH pads with another brand found on Amazon and... Bingo ! no more squeeze ! wasted me so much time and effort, my back is now in recovery from all the heavy lifting, what a pain in the a$$ to learn a lesson. Very very disappointed with BOSCH product now, or maybe it's a fake ? ... show more

  • Noisy ceramic brakes
Size: BC913 Style: Ceramic Color: Front
Update 02/03/2020: these are still super noisy. My boyfriend said no ceramic brake pads they’re too noisy...they say quiet on them idk why in my brain that told me to order them....terrible idea. I mean they do a good job, as long as you don’t mind squealing your way through stop lights and drive thrus. These were really really noisey for the first month we had them on our 07 Saturn vue. That could’ve been our own fault, we took it to the Pismo the day after we installed these pads. So maybe sand maybe not? Either way they work great, we almost ended up in a accident on the way and slammed on the brakes so hard it actually left a flat point on our brand new tires and the brakes still look new and feel new. They also aren’t screeching like they were. The car is still full of sand so it was more than likely sand making it screech. They’re easy to install. I mistakenly thought these were semi metallic coated and I don’t think they are. Oh well though ceramic lasts longer anyways. ... show more
