This kit is very well made, it’s sturdy, and it’s lovely when finished. Everything is glued, rather than clicked together, so you do need to include time for drying between many steps. The instructions are very clear. There are quite a few fiddly little things—especially the flowers—but that’s a great trade off compared to having nothing but 2D printed pieces. Also, because things are not slotted into place, you have some discretion about where things are placed without leaving holes. I enjoyed putting this kit together more than just about any other book nook kit I’ve done, and it’s without a doubt the most pleasing one once it’s finished.

The media could not be loaded. Very sturdy set with clear instructions. The only part I wish was different is having stickers instead of having to cut and glue 30 mini books. Other than that the finished book is a delight to look at and admire. Love all the details. I’m very happy with this purchase and I’ll consider buying from this company again.

Its cute, but the light switch does not work. It only stays on. Kind of a hassle to have to open it up to put batteries in or pull them out if you want to turn the lights on or off.

I am really torn between four and five stars for this kit - which is beautifully engineered, and the components are all top-quality. It really went together beautifully. The outside panels are thick, sturdy, and without warps. There are not very many parts to be assembled, which may be attractive to a modeler or not. (There are other kits which many more elements to be assembled, and have many and more intricate details.) The panels for the various smaller elements which are seen from various angles in the finished alley scene are printed on both sides, which is another high-quality indicator There is nothing cheap, flimsy or second rate -- with the exception of the paper elements. The book covers and the shop awnings are printed on basically plain white copier paper; somewhat disappointing for high-end book-nook kit like this. I would have expected heavier paper, already scored and perfed, and the book covers to have been printed on adhesive paper. That being said - the lighting components, the decorate elements like the plants and the two cats are high-quality, and the instructions are first-rate. I do like the clever touch of certain elements being in mirror-image, so as to aid the illusion of a longer alley.

I adore these little book nook sets. The finished product is amazing and looks so beautiful lit up in my bookcase. The set is super fun to assemble and is very involved although not overly difficult or long. The entertainment value continues after it’s finished. You will have a delightful little collectible for years to come. If you like building wood models I cannot recommend this enough. It’s great and it looks so lifelike.

Im super excited about putting this together. I don’t see any adhesive so I’ll grab some. Such a unique and amazing fun project that I can’t wait to get started on. It seems very well made and I can hardly wait for my grandkids to see the finished project. I was going to assemble it with them, but, I think I’m going to start collecting these and wanna make sure the first one is assembled correctly. Cool idea for whoever came up with this concept. It triggers the imagination.
