Great quality. A youtuber tested the irradiance from 6" and it was 50mw/cm2 and I got the same numbers testing it myself. Most companies use a solar meter to test irradiance which gives falsely inflated readings. This is still a very good irradiance for the price, and I put it in a Lepower lamp so I don't have to hold it in place.

Not sure if it works or not, but seem to be backed up by science. I'm seeing more and more about how we need to get natural sunlight, which our now standard LED household, let alone office bldgs, don't provide. They provide more blue light. Then if you live in the northern hemisphere you SOL for large parts of the year. So even if you get nothing out of the ordinary, exposing yourself to some of the Reds/NIR is certainly not going to hurt and it could help. Only had it for a little bit, very short time. So will be keeping my eyes out for anything note worthy. I got this for a little alopecia problem. But I am doing a lot of other stuff for this also, so won't bang the drums on this, at least not yet. But if helps with collagen production and giving me some more to help combat the excessive blue light then great. Thinking of buying some full spectrum LED's for the house in main rooms use also. As far as the alopecia I have seen lot more growth since got it, but like said doing other stuff also. Designed and 3D printed a little stand for this to put on a desk which works really nice. Put it on a desk instead of having to hold it all the time. My biggest complaint: Unlike the other colors that they sell, those match the product page and descriptions. This was upgraded to a Dual-Chip LED, that has both LEDs on the same chip. The manual get with it says this and a Rep confirmed this. But this product page shows a Lamp with 6 Red and 6 NIR LEDs. And the description says as much. This confuses people and makes you think you didn't get what you paid for. I checked this with a simple spectrum analyzer and compared it to a RED/NIR Incandescent lamp have. It compares. But not having the product information show and explain this is misleading and can make you think you got the wrong item. Maybe this is also why if you look for this on other sites you will see out of stock for the bulb. But Hooga Health still has the old product of 6&6 showing. But they changed to a Dual-Chip LED. Hooga Health please update the product pics and information to show this. Update: Looks like they fixed the product picture for the Red/Infrared LED bulb now!

Hooga changed the LED's. Near-Infrared is in with all the red lights so you will see all twelve LED's shining red. It's a quality light, it's bright and powerful. I want to test the effectiveness of red light therapy before I would buy something more expensive. There's plenty of videos and online literature to research red light therapy.
