Self-installed. I bought a vacuum pump to tourqe wrench & flaring tool. I bought mounting brackets and line covers on Amazon. Fast forward, tip to better flare on lines cut to length. Make your flare, then tighten it on the mating surface to further form it remove Following tips from others, apply Nylog to flare surfaces. Insures flare will not leak. Pretty straight forward install but you must pull the vacuum on the high and low pressure side. This is pretty common so your local HVAC guys should have the pump to do it. Although only installed today, it’s already impacted the amount our main unit has been running. User interface is simple enough, So far, so good. I wanted a mini split and priced a basic unit at about $2000 for just the unit. I purchased this one for under $450. I figured it was worth a try. I am impressed how much quality and how well it works. Very similar to the Daikins and Mitsubishi units I install at work. All mini splits are junk I am aware but at this price if it works for a few years it will offset the cost of the electric heater I was running on my dog porch. Under 10 degrees out and my porch is 70. It has a wifi app that works. I installed it myself and all I needed was a vacuum pump and micrometer guage. Funniest part is I hate mini splits, but this is pretty nice at this price. I would definitely do it again. ... show more

I liked the cost of the system. The delivery was quick and arrived sooner than expected. Packaging was good and undamaged. I installed it very easy. Instructions simple and easy. Been running it for 2 days on air and am very satisfied and surprised at how fast and well it works. At this time it is great but I’ll give it a few weeks to see if any problems and if not then I’d give 5 stars and will order another for another area in my home ... show more

I installed this myself in a few hours. Besides basic hand tools, all I needed was a flaring kit and a vacuum pump ( I used a cheap air-operated one hooked up to my compressor) The wifi was easy to set up if you read the instructions.
