We have up to 5 cats invading our property at night. None of them ours, all of them wonderful. Some are actively hunting mice and Pikachus - that is, they are a bonus for us. However, a couple of the males have taken to spraying my expensive lumber, our vehicle tires, and MY MOTORCYCLE! It's especially bad during the females' heat cycle. Grrrr!!!! So we tried this product along with others during these past months. At first I threw every product we purchased out in the areas most effected by the cats and immediately they were driven away. No more free rodent control... We also quickly learned that the finely powdered cayenne pepper products and the like could be like a mild pepper spray when the wind swirled in our driveway. That caused ourselves some mild grief. Eventually I tried one product at a time to see which best suited our needs. THIS Bonide liquid product could be sprayed precisely where you wanted it. And it stayed there regardless of any winds. It works for weeks. We learned that rain washes it away. And that it stained my motorcycle covers and some other items. However, it indeed worked - mostly. I have security camera "footage" of how well it works, however, I'm reluctant to share that footage as it has sensitive information in it. Cats stopped precisely at the barrier I created around my motorcycle and lumber pile. It didn't cause them any harm or grief, they just didn't want to be in that area. Kind of like a human not wanting to hang around sewage ponds to socialize. I did not want to harm those beautiful cats, but I didn't want my property to be their breeding grounds where they howled and sprayed everything night after night. Bonide helped us. Just like they help us with our garden needs. Over time, I learned to use just enough to protect our important areas and the stuff within, but not too much to drive away our free rodent control in totality. When the heat cycles arrive however, I use everything every where to drive them all away. Yes, it stinks. It is quite a mix of strong odors. Bought this because my normally well behaved raccoons have suddenly decided to us the eaves on my mud room porch as a latrine. Bought the concentrate and mixed it up in the kitchen sink. Note to self, next time mix this stuff outside! The smell is putrid. Let's hope this deters my raccoons!

We had some early damage to a bed of daylilies and hydrangeas, due to rabbits and deer. Sprayed this stuff, and we have been mostly trouble free since, although some minor damage has occurred. I don't have a regular schedule for spraying, and while it seems to last for several weeks, I just wait until I notice damage on one or another plant, then spray all the beds again. Fairly easy to use, so not a bother. One thing that I don't like is that if you save unused solution to use later, it tends to clog a pump sprayer, no matter how much you shake it. I bought to keep raccoons and stray cats out of my backyard...It works, but you have to spray every evening before dark. I spray around perimeter of property and around outside of sheds...They don't like the pungent scent & neither do I, but it works!

I have stray cats and raccoons running in my yard around my nice things, spraying and using my yard as a toilet..I got the concentrate and followed directions. My neighbors have an adult dog and an 8 month old puppy (large breed). The packaging said it was safe for humans AND pets so I thought it would be alright. He had a very frightening reaction immediately. He started vomiting, three times in 15 minutes. He was foaming at the mouth and got very lethargic. He did not ingest any but was around it after I applied it to certain areas. The older dog was fine so the only thing I can think of is it was his age. He was alright after he went back into his own yard/home. Be cautious of pets especially young ones. As far as if it works or not, I cant say...my night cameras picked up the usual cat and racoon traffic but it may take time. ... show more
