This is a nickel metal hydride battery, see you want to make sure that you top it off and run it down till it’s almost dead and then refill it. This will help with memory and allow you to get more out of the battery for a much longer period of time. They don’t get hot. They don’t swell they just work perfectly. I bought some of the new 1.5 V lithium batteries takes a special charger and when I put it in a regular lamp for underneath the table it seem to work great bright light wonderful I pulled it out and all the batteries were , losing the outside, covering from heat showing and expose bear wire going from positive to negative. So I bought a lamp piece for lamps that are magnetic and for working under a car or putting it and I need to table the work table. Anyway, I bought one that was designed for the 1.5 vault lamp and it worked very well but only a couple of batteries worked and it must’ve still would swell and cook the outside shrink wrap. So I don’t think the technology is ready for that yet and you definitely don’t want to stick a 1.5 V battery and a 1.2 V device. Don’t do it it’s a hot fire hazard. I like how for the price I paid I am getting a very reliable battery. I bought 48 of these because 1. I’m tired of buying those crappy batteries from dollar tree. 2. I use to have Duracell Rechargeable batteries which all of them gave out or decided to go kaboom. 3. The amount of battery life per charge so far is extremely satisfying. I’m honestly planning on buying some more of these simply because I was more impressed than what I actually expected from a brand of battery I never heard about until a few hours ago. ... show more

Used 18 batteries to power the under cabinet lights for kitchen. These rechargeable batteries came fully charged and worked great. They are bright. I am hoping they last a month between charges. Using regular alkaline batteries results in diminished light after a week and costs nearly $15 to replace each time. So big savings here. These are awesome I already saved probably $10 in battery costs but unfortunately because they are 1.2v like almost all other rechargeable batteries, they won't work in my smoke detectors and schlage door lock which use like 18 batteries in my house , constantly running out and unfortunately I can't use these. But they do work for Xbox controller and RC car remotes and many other toys and flashlights. They look and feel solid built. ... show more

Batteries are to replace the batteries in outdoor pathway lights which are 2 years old and only lasting a few hours a night . Packed 4 batteries per cellophane bundle easy to work with . Lights are now a lot brighter lasting all night for a a full 10 hours now .
