Metal zip ties are so good to have around when working on cars or in general things that can get really hot and melt plastic ones. These are strong and durable. They are also very easy to use. You can attach a few together to make a longer loop if you need too but its not ideal. Overall they are very stong and will outperform any plastic tie. Great value on this pack too.

It was such an odd idea, stainless steel zip ties? I got them and I am having a blast using them in unusual ways. I have a dangling part on my vehicle and keep it plastic zip tied, that has been my previous experience with zip ties. Not anymore! These make the best additions to my craft and art projects. I wrapped them neatly around the top of each chair leg for a modern uplift to the makeover. I added this as a ring for a tassel, adorable. I have used it as a notebook ring, adding ribbons and charms, and it looks fabulous. The silver band shines brightly on the blue wine bottle and the tie holds multiple antique keys on the doorknob, it did not slip or slide. I have not used the stainless steel tie in a necessary place, only decorative. The bag arrived and it is heavier than expected, the ties are well made. I am finding multiple uses for this product, even painting it, and think it is a wonderful crafting tool. I have used it as a loop to hang some tools and I will use it on my vehicle in the future as well, but I did order this for creative purposes and it has surpassed my original ideas and opened the door to more creative ideas.

This is an excellent product providing a means of fastening objects in a secure manner. Unlike nylon (or plastic) zip-ties which can be easily cut with wire cutters or deteriorate (break) over time, this product provides a more secure method of fastening objects. The fasteners (surprisingly) are flexible (despite its composition being made of light metal or aluminum) allowing various objects to be synched together. (See photos). The excess “tail” however was a little difficult to trim and upon a successfully removing the excess, I noticed the edge to be a little sharp, (see picture). Despite this small inconvenience, the product worked great in allowing me to secure several ancillary equipment to an aluminum pergola. In the past I had used nylon zip ties and discovered that over a period of time, the sun and weather weakened the nylon ties causing them to unexpectedly break; and finding my equipment dangling from the structure or on the ground. Overall, I think this is a great product and wished I had discovered this product earlier saving me time, and money in having to replace equipment. As a side note, (if you prefer) using both nylon and this metal zip-tie together, will provide a secure secondary support in event of failure of the nylon zip-ties. In addition having a pair of pliers helped in attaining a good snug fit.

These steel zipties are exactly what I've needed for some temporary repairs over the years! They're very strong, smooth, and nearly as flexible as plastic and nylon zipties. Nearly a foot long overall, and with a usable length of 11 inches or so, they'd just the thing for temporary -- even permanent -- exhaust system repairs or routing steel cables near hot exhaust surfaces. I can also see using them for attaching things permanently to fenceposts (like a rain gauge) or for instant banding on heavy iron or steel bundles, since you can easily stick several of them end to end. I tried one around a 3/4 inch pipe (photo) to see how flexible they are, and it formed perfectly. The buckle, of course, is longer than a nylon ziptie's buckle, so won't fit flat on something this narrow, but that would be inconsequential with things over a couple of inches thick. I'd very much like to see a load rating on these stainless zipties, but won't plan to use them as hangers, tempting as that might be.

Simple to use and firmly tighten, with the increased power and strength of metal. Great for projects that you don't anticipate needing to remove a fastener down the road. Currently priced right for the higher quality. Cons: Excess material after fastening is obviously much harder to cut off than standard (plastic) zip-ties, so be sure you have a powerful cutting tool. Ratings (1-10 scale; 0 = Very poor, 5 = Average, 10 = Exceptional) Quality: 8 Value (based on purchase price of $9.99): 8 Utility: 8.5 Overall: 8.25 Hopefully you found this review helpful in identifying the best product to meet your needs.

Like many people, I've used plastic/nylon zip ties of various sizes for pretty much any project, whether for temporary or permanent attachment. Indoors, plastic/nylon has been fine unless used near heat. I have some holding wires to radiant hot water pipes and the zip ties have gone brittle over the years. Outdoors, even the ones that say "UV safe" still end up breaking after a few years. But with these stainless zip ties, I may never have to worry about that again! I didn't even know these existed, but I already have 10 projects in mind where I'll be using these instead of the plastic/nylon kind.
