I am an avid collector of sunglasses and have curated quite a collection over the years. I have pieces that are very budget friendly and others that are, well...close to a car payment. I can be pretty fussy when it comes to my glasses though and as everyone knows- not all are created equal. A brand that is somewhat new to my collection, despite being around for some time, is Bolon- A premium lifestyle and glasses brand and one of the top eye wear brands in the world. I could not wait to get my hands on these and see what they were all about. A thicker than paper, but thinner than cardboard, branded box arrived super quick. Inside of the box, a somewhat lackluster, gray case contained the wrapped/protected glasses. Sure, the case is made from a thick, faux leather that is durable and well constructed. The case folds over and stays shut with a semi weak magnet. The case isn't terrible, but I would have expected a hard, or even more sturdy/durable case- considering the price of the glasses. None the less, it did protect the glasses well during their journey here and on my subsequent travels. Also included was an information card/booklet and a really nice, soft, generous sized cleaning cloth. I immediately noticed the steps that Bolon takes to ensure you have a legit pair of glasses. Connected to the arm, a small tag with a holographic logo as well as a number and a website to check the legitimacy of the specs. This is NOT the number you put into the checker (online) though, rather it's almost a back up number. The real serial number is almost invisible (SUPER tiny) and engraved into the inside of the arm. Matter of fact, the serial number on these is SO SMALL that I couldn't even see it. In a bit of a panic I reached out to customer service for help. They responded quick and were incredibly helpful and provided excellent service overall. Once I found the number (it WAS there!) it checked out as soon as I typed it into the verification page. I am beyond in love with the glasses! These are so unique and have so many gorgeous details. Usually I don't like a lot of 'extra' stuff going on with my glasses, but these are just so elegant and tastefully designed. They are incredibly feminine and...soft...is really the word that pops into my mind. Between the understated logo in the arm and the shape and cut out of the lenses- these glasses are the stuff that dreams are made of! The lenses are over sized, but not so massive that they take over your entire face. They are not polarized, but they do provide more than adequate protection from the sun. I did take my own measurements and I found that these are spot on true to the listed dimensions. One of the things I love though is that the temples do have quite a bit of stretch to them, which I really appreciate on days where I have a headache and the last thing I want is sunglasses squeezing my head/face. Matter of fact, these are so comfortable that I barely even realize they are on! They don't slide down my face and they don't even slip off if I am bending down. Part of the reason these stay on so well is because they are really light weight. Honestly, at first I was a little...angry...because when I felt the temples I thought they were plastic. The are lightweight like plastic and have the give that plastic does. It wasn't until my chat with Bolon that I realized that they are actually made of titanium (which I now, very clearly see in the marketing material). Not only did this make me feel better about these, but it also made A LOT of sense. You see- I am a bit clumsy. I also have been having problems with my hands lately and I drop things a lot. These have been dropped more times than I can count. I have also sat on them more than once too (thanks to leaving them on my car seat). I have cringed, over and over as these events have happened, taking my time to retrieve the glasses and inspect the damage, but time and again they have been unscathed. The (gorgeous) lenses don't have a single scratch (and they haven't cracked!) and the durable titanium frames bounce right back. I wish every pair of glasses would be this durable and well made! I am beyond happy I found Bolon and I have continued to pick up unique and well made glasses from them. For a luxury brand, these are actually surprisingly affordable, especially considering the unique design and incredible construction. The only thing that I think could use some work though is the case.

These sunglasses are not only stylish but also incredibly durable. The frame feels solid and well-built, yet it’s lightweight enough for everyday wear. I love the way the lenses provide a clear view without any distortion. Whether I’m walking around the city or relaxing at the beach, they keep my eyes protected and offer a crisp, sharp view. I have to be honest here- while this has a great UV protection rating I'm not sure I really see much difference between them and other pairs of sunglasses that I own- that being said I thought they looked amazing and couldn't wait to wear them regardless. I found that they fit funky on my face and weren't very accommodating on my nose which caused them to sit really high up on my face. Also the frame is made very very thin. While it might feel much more comfortable it's also more dainty and liable to break, making the price point a bit steep in my opinion.

These are one of the first pairs of 'designer' eyewear I have owned, and I cannot say enough positive things about the clarity of the lenses. Compared even, to Ray Bans, the lenses are clearer than I though possible. It is worth noting that these are absolutely huge, so if you don't like the oversized look, I would opt for a different style of Bolon's but in terms of quality and lens quality these are an A+.
