I purchased this mug in two different sizes as a gift for someone who tends to be a spiller. One size to keep their morning coffee from cooling off too quickly, before they can enjoy it in a relaxed way. The larger size is for their daily water intake. Both sizes do a great job of keeping the liquid inside from losing its ideal temperature too soon, and maintaining that temperature over a long period of time. The value for the product is good, because you’re not tossing out drinks that have lost their appeal due to temp changes. That’s saving money. Temp retention is key here. The weight is what I expected for a cup that does this sort of job effectively. The sturdy handle is comfortable and makes the cup easy to use. I agree with the other reviewers on the appeal of having a silicone base. Its slip-resistance was one of the selling points that sold me on this one. On the occasions when it did get knocked over, the damage was minimal, if any at all, so I am satisfied with the outcome. Keeping the interior clean and free of staining is easy for me when I use a soft “erasing” type of sponge. It prevents the buildup from accumulating on the surface areas. Keeps it looking like new. I love using cups with stainless steel interiors because there is no transfer of taste into the beverage you are drinking. Granted, these don’t work with our vehicle’s cup holders, so they stay home and do their job there - brilliantly! All features and benefits considered, I would recommend them highly. UPDATE: We have owned these mugs for seven months now, and despite the fact that I have been extra careful about cleaning them (I wash them by hand), the paint on the handle has begun to flake off. I am hoping that their performance isn’t affected by becoming more slippery while gripping the handle. We’ll see. Sadly, they are starting to look a little abused. ... show more

Just what I wanted. It keeps my coffee at least three hours. The coffee is still hot enough to drink. My coffee is still hot after 3-4 hours. The insulation keeps it hot enough to enjoy. Well made and keeps my coffee hot. Lid fits snugly. Only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is the handle. With 12oz of coffee the handle becomes very uncomfortable in a short time. It needs to be less sharp and/or narrower. Both would be an improvement. Cuts into my hand. Like the non slip bottom.

Works really well. The size is great for coffee with creamer and you can use a regular size spoon to stir. I use it at work and it keeps my coffee hot for a couple hours. The lid is easy to use but I don’t think it’s leak proof. I haven’t used it in my car or for travel. I throw the mug in the dishwasher and haven’t had a problem. I recommend handwashing the lid. The best thing about this item is how stable it is on my desk. It’s not tall or odd shaped and it doesn’t tip over. I hate the tall skinny type mugs that tip over easily. ... show more

This mug is the perfect size to hold 12oz plus ice. Large Easy to grab Handle. Well made, sturdy, doesn’t sweat, non slip bottom and dishwasher safe. (I can’t speak to the lid because I don’t use it) I would definitely purchase another and highly recommend this cup.
