I bought my first stand-up/adjustable desk a little over a year ago. I already owned an office desk chair and figured that would be all I needed. I could adjust my desk to the standard desk height and if I wanted to stand up I could just push the chair aside. Wrong! As the birthdays go by I am less and less interested in standing at any desk. I was looking at a cheaper adjustable stool but the reviews talked about replacing the casters before even using it, or that the armrests did not adjust beyond one or two settings. I was also looking for a stool that would let me push away from the desk and stretch my back ie. a flexible backrest. This adjustable chair has it all! Plus it has considerable weight and very strong construction. I could not be happier with my purchase. The padding is great. Armrests adjust independently to five different heights. I am 5'11" and weigh 194. When I used the foot ring to "step up" to the seat, I found out that the review comments about the foot ring were correct. The screw knob just won't hold the position. To resolve this, I took a standard metal hose clamp, put it just below the foot ring on the lift cylinder, and tightened it down tight. The problem is solved! You can't even see the clamp unless you go looking for it! I love this chair. Very easy to assemble and it arrived quickly with no damage. I love how cushioned the chair seat is, the back is also supportive. The height is perfect for my fixed-height standing desk for work. I put it together quickly and easily. My only complaint is the round foot stand. The circle is so small that I have to push my legs back so my heels can reach it and my legs end up falling asleep. It was easy to assemble and is comfortable and supportive for my WFH office. But the fabric on the seat is a little weird. The texture is not smooth, so when wearing shorts I have slipped a pillow case over it.

This chair is great value for the money. When I conduct virtual training sessions I have to be up higher than normal to be eye level with the camera on top of my monitor. I didn’t expect the chair to be as comfortable as it is, especially for long days. Ten stars out of five.

I got this chair Nov 2022 to replace a regular height desk chair - amazing difference! I have MS and also had a hip replacement in 2022, so I have mobility issues and having a taller chair makes it so much easier to get up. It’s also the perfect height to use a footstool to prop my legs on. All of this combined makes me sit up properly and has helped reduce back strain. The adjustable arm rests also improve the ergonomics of my setup. Good lumbar support, very comfy seat. Amazing 5* customer service too. I bought a standing desk for my home office so I could stand up for periods of time while I'm working. When I get tired, instead of lowering the desk and pulling out the desk chair, I just hop onto this chair and work for an hour or so before I stand up again.

I have been using this chair almost every day for almost a year since I work from home 90% of the time. I needed something taller for my standing desk so I could choose to sit or stand. Sitting in the chair is okay but not entirely comfortable. The seat slopes downward slightly and the footrest is not big enough so my feet have to tuck back under the chair rather than my legs being more at a 90-degree angle. The curve in the back of the chair is very low so it sits closer to my butt than my lower back and pushes me further forward out of the seat. I would not call this an ergonomic chair as previous chairs I've had have allowed adjustment on the height of the lumbar support. The biggest design flaw for me is that the screws holding the back piece to the chair are constantly falling out. Just randomly while I'm sitting in the chair. I don't completely understand how they are working their way out of the chair as I don't rock or spin in the chair. When it happens, I will tighten them back in, and then a few weeks later, one will drop out. ... show more
