These are a perfect fit for my shelf, tight & sturdy, I measured the shelf thickness BEFORE ordering to make sure. I originally ordered 2, when I saw I could fit another I ordered 1 more. Even though I did measure measure the width of cabinet/shelf I thought I would just wait to order the 3rd just to make sure.. I have 3 shelves in this cabinet, I can’t reach the top shelf (not pictured), I even struggle with a two-tier step stool. My hubs and son can reach it just fine so their stuff is up there. As you can see above the middle shelf there was an abundance of space so I wanted these mug racks to maximize the space. A place for everything and everything in its place, just like Grandma always said. Those white mugs hanging are standard size Corelle mugs, only 2 mugs per line fit as per the picture/description of listing - so don’t be shocked as other reviewers were when that’s all that you can fit. I just didn't trust the sticky ones and these clip-ons never fail. The only problem is I like to use it on a closed drawer and this one works great because if you noticed, it's flat, not round near the part where you clip edge of shelf so I can close my drawer doors with little or no gap. In the design I can tell they would do exactly what they were intended to do. They will hold heavier and larger coffee mug or they're good for organizing your utensils. But my shelves are thicker and these do not fit on the shelves like shown in the picture. If you have standard shells are a little thinner, they'll work perfectly, but I need something thicker. I am trying to now find a different use for them ... show more

I purchased this specifically to hang four small 3 oz. espresso mugs and two 5 oz. mugs (6 mugs total) inside my cabinet. On one side, the four smaller (3 oz.) mugs fit nicely by nesting into each other. On the other side, The two 5 oz. mugs fit easily, and could definitely accommodate a third of the same style mug, but not a fourth, simply because these particular mug handles sit too close to the bottom, physically preventing them from nesting into each other. So generally speaking, smaller mug + higher handle = better fit, but larger mugs might work too if the handles are far enough from the bottom that they can stack or nest. ... show more

Doesn’t stay level if you take a cup off, the clip is larger then standard cabinet shelves so leaves room for it to wiggle. The whole thing needs to be about 2 inches longer because your cabinet door will hit the cups you put on it. Save your money and just get a screw in rack.
