Went together fairly easily, though I had to use my own allen wrenches because the one they include is made of a cheap alloy and destroyed too easily. Chair is made of sturdy materials, considering its recycled plastics. Should stand the test of time. Cushion is rather hard and not shaped for comfort. Has a forward lean to it which results in having to scoot back into seat regularly as well as excessive pressure on the tail bone. Only the backrest leans which relieves little to no pressure against your butt. Anyone who spends more than 4 hours a day sitting for work will experience pretty bad tail bone discomfort. Could be reduced with a seat rocking mechanism rather than just a back rest lean. Would not recommend this chair for anyone with a sit down job. Had higher expectations for the price I paid... perhaps a little more focus on comfort in engineering and less focus on charging high price for "green" products... got a 50 dollar non cushioned chair smaller and made of non recycled materials that provides more comfort than this one. ... show more

I bought a few chairs but not very comfortable. The cushion is not thick enough. When sit a few hours, the butt hurt. the chair I bought this time has thicker cushion than other mesh chair. It has special cushion shape, much wider but more comfortable. I want to give five stars. Worth to buy!

I spent weeks researching a chair that was ergonomic and under $200. While I don't understand why a chair can cost that much, this one is worth it. I sit in an office for 8+ hours a day and need good support and comfort. I very rarely have to adjust or shift to get comfortable. The seat is super thick and built well and provides nice comfort and support for my hips and lower back. I have had less neck and back pain as well. The height of the back wasn't as tall as I thought, I'm 5'4" and it hits just above my shoulder blades. I was worried but I really don't notice that it doesn't have any support behind my head. It doesn't have an adjustable lumbar like many others, my only reason for 4 stars but otherwise its a great chair for sitting for long periods of time and spinal/hip support. ... show more

Since working from home I've gone through a couple of chairs that just did not provide the support I needed. I suffer from back pain from previous car accidents, so back support was one of my top priorities. This chair is giving me life! Assembly was easy enough, took me some time because my husband was at work and I had a 1 year old running around, but I was able to pull through. It was pretty easy to put together; I did it in about probably 20 minutes. The hardest part about putting it together was balancing it; I think that if I had used the box like in the video, that wouldn't have been as hard to do. My kids stole the box as soon as I got the contents out, though, so I didn't have it anymore (why do I bother buying them toys?!). It feels very durable; the part that supports your weight is metal and seems very strong. I replaced the wheels it came with with roller blade wheels, which I love. I do want to point out that I ordered the grey on black chair and the image of it provided makes the grey look a LOT lighter than it actually is. I, personally, am happy about this, as I started to doubt my choice of grey when it came to matching up with my desk furniture. I was pleasantly surprised that it was more of a charcoal grey on the back rest and a more medium/dark grey on the seat cushion. I have not sat in it for a very long period of time yet, as I just finished putting it together, but I wanted to write some of my initial thoughts before I forgot. Updated- the company contacted me and provided the correct arm pads. My husband enjoys the chair. It would be nice if the company provided a way fir direct contact. The picture on the website showed the chair having matching gray arm pads. The chair we received has black arm pads. Our selection of this product was based on the style and color. Been looking on amazon for a few weeks for a big guy proof chair that is sturdy and affordable. Something that is also agronomical. Saw the reviews for this and figured might as well try it. Overall, it's a decent chair but should cost about $50 less due to it not being TRULY big guy certified. I feel squashed in between the arms. Comfort is nice on the back, that's a positive. But for the life of me, I cannot get over how bad this thing smells. It smells like it was sitting in a warehouse FULL of smoke for the last 2 years. Cigarettes smoke at that. So I will not be keeping it and returning it for a refund. Very unhappy to spend $200 on something that was stored so poorly. ... show more
