The media could not be loaded. BEWARE! If you receive defective presses the manufacturer DOES NOT stand behind their products and WILL NOT issue you a refund. I ordered directly from them (MISTAKE) instead of Amazon, but from this experience I will avoid all of their products. The plunger does not stay up, so the coffee or tea cannot steep. It immediately drops to the bottom and stops the steeping process. Customer support is a nightmare - they won't respond for weeks and will make any excuse they can to not accept a return for defective products, even though their website says they do. I'm not sure where the 3 cups come into the picture unless they're demitasse but I drink a mug of coffee in the morning and the Bodum French Press coffee maker fits the bill. I'm happy with Bodum.
