I might have to leave an updated review in the future in case anything changes, but for now its just 3 solid stars. That doesn't mean that I regret buying it, quite the contrary. It just means that I wish it were stronger and more effective. Look, I get it...they have to be careful not to create a product that harms dogs and leaves themselves liable in case some knucklehead dog owner doesn't use it properly and then tries to hold them responsible (why take accountability in reading instructions when you can simply blame someone else? welcome to America!!!) PROs: -It definitely made my dog wince a bit each time I sprayed it on his leash and even when I sprayed a little bit into his mouth. YES, you CAN spray into his mouth... that is EXACTLY what dog trainers recommend. They tell you to spray a little bit into your dog's mouth so he understands that it tastes terrible, and then your dog needs to see you spraying it on the leash or area you want him to stop chewing. That way he will put two and two together and associate the horrible experience in his mouth with the area he should avoid. Ideally that will lead him to NOT chew on that area! (if only the world were that easy) - The bottle is pretty big. Much more solution then I expected! - The stuff does actually work a little bit...it made my dog take notice (but he did still bite on the leash while we trained him to get used to the new invisible dog fence we installed) CONs - not too many cons other than it needs to be a little more stronger for bigger dogs like my larger black lab. (maybe offer TWO versions? one for smaller dogs and one for bigger??? who knows) - its going to take repetition and practice to make this work. Dogs are stubborn and resilient...two characteristics that help them survive but also super frustrating to work with. You MUST make this process a daily routine to change your dog's behavior. If you think this is just something where you can just spray a ton of it on an area and be done with it then you should not buy this. If your dog is chewing on something its a behavior that needs to stop and this is just one of the tools to help you in changing his behavior through repetition to instill a more desired behavior. (channeling my inner Cesar Milan here but its true) Hope this helps. Again, not a bad product at all. Just not yet deserving of more stars at this point...but I will edit if anything changes. PS. I actually caught a bunch of this in my own mouth while spraying it in the wind. WARNING: DON'T spray it in the wind!!! It tastes effing HORRIBLE!!!! I can't believe it. Never thought it could work and work so well. I've spent literally thousands dealing with my dog's allergies and itches. A drug (apoquel) helped, but I heard rumors about side effects and have been trying to do without. We were back to square one with my darling nearly chewing her tail off. Before putting her back on apoquel or going back to the same pricey animal dermatologist, I thought I'd put a donut (those nice soft inflatable "cones") around her neck and treat the wound myself. Tried a number of items listed here in this category. This one is SO MUCH BETTER than the others I'm just stunned. In one day, an oozing wound dried up and healed. I'm not kidding. One day. What is this magical stuff? It's awfully perfumey but not unpleasant, and I'm learning to love it. Plus, I rub it into her skin and she's generally much more comfortable. She's playful again. I didn't read the ingredients first and I feel stupid for it. I got the bottle in the mail and read the ingredient list and it has things in it that are not safe for a dog to ingest. This product contains TOXIC ingredients like tea tree oil, eucalyptus, and Cedar oil. I sprayed it just on a counter surface to see how the smell was and my nose is still burning 20 minutes later. The smell was overpowering, imagine how much worse that would be to a dog? They have far more sensitive noses than we do. Please do yourself and your pet a favor and avoid this product. ... show more

So I recently got a puppy that basically turned in it a Parana over night. She was at legs of furniture, rugs, shoes, purses and loved my backpack. I didn’t know what to do cause nothing seemed to help. I had looked online and came across this stuff, I saw that it had mixed reviews but I was desperate. So I ordered it. I was worried it wouldn’t be strong enough for her or it’d make my house stink or something else like that. But I sprayed all the things she loved and it actually worked she smelled and immediately backed away from it, also I kinda enjoy the smell of it. It’s not chemical or anything harsh. I will say I accidentally put a bit on one of her favorite toys and she wouldn’t touch it for a day or so. Around the time you would need to re apply. I will make a note I did not use this for excessive licking or biting at her self or wounds so I can’t say anything in that front. But if you have a teething pup I highly recommend this stuff! One year ago this month I adopted a puppy named Mack. He came from a cruelty situation and my goal is to give him that most wonderful life possible. As he's gotten older, he'd developed significant skin issues due to flea allergies. If he gets one single flea bite - his entire lower body turns red, get hives, itches, and he has a big problem with hot spots.Through the vet, I finally found a flea treatment that works for him by killing fleas before they bite (that's a whole other review) and to treat his allergy symptoms I've done diet changes, every kind of skin treatment shampoo there is, a few other hot spot treatments, and nothing has touched it.
