its been a few weeks before i discovered this bobtot or should i say encore will not honor their warenty they say quat it costs too much i bought this from them and later discovered the speaker output port is dead they would not send me a replacement in a way they said sorry your loss not our problem they tried to reinburst me 14 bucks because the center speaker ouput is dead i paid almost 400 you cheap stakes do not buy from this company warrenty is not honored maby a few visits to court would change their attitude after they pay up on fees and lawers a judge would force them to honor the warenty ... show more

First.. The easy setup. Comes with standard RCA plugs for each speaker. So only one connection for each speaker in the back down in the Audio Input Section. Five Channels: CEN = for Center channel FR/FL = Front Right and Front Left SR/SL = Surround Right and Surround Left The sub-woofer is built into the control unit where you plug in the 5 speakers.. Thus the .1 of the 5.1. Plenty of options to feed audio into this device. From optical, coax, HDMI Arc to basic R/W rca input. Not to mention the area on the side of the main unit: SD card slot - max 64GB, USB port - max 64GB and two mic slots - 1/4" jacks, btw. So if you have 1/8", then make sure you have an adapter. Sounds pretty good. The sub was a bit too hot out of the box and you could hear some vibration from the cover, but just push that in.. as shipping will loosen it.. as well, it's too much bass, imo, so just use the remote to lower it's presence. The remote made it very easy to balance out the sounds out of each channel. There's a + / - for each speaker to adjust from, this includes the Mic volume up and down. As well, echo. Also, quick easy setup for building out Channels for FM listening - can setup to autoscan. You can also setup for just 2.1 audio if you need, but not sure why you'd do this unless you did not have the space for speakers. One very nice feature was the Bluetooth pairing. I was able to pair my phone (Bobtot B89). Nice thing on this is that your phone's bluetooth is only part of the volume setting. You can also adjust up the volume on the system to get some extra sound. This will definitely crank out some volume. 1400W of peak power. The speakers as I mentioned had rca jacks already.. Nice thing is the cable lengths they give you out of the box. 13ft for the front 3 - Center, Left and Right. The back/surround are at a whopping 39ft. Unit/Kit also comes with several different cables to make it easy for input hookups: HDMI cable (Arch) Optical cable 3 RCA r/w cables Coax cable 3.5mm to male RCA r/w cable FM antenna cable I liked this system for a good 5.1 sound system where I did not need to have an amp and additional speakers. So decent price for getting everything to hook up to a simple TV speaker driven setup to get you to a better listening experience. After a few adjustments of speaker and especially the sub levels - it sounded very balanced and provided a nice experience with volume and bass. Nice glossy black finish on the speakers make it look very nice. And a myriad of different ways to connect and even comes with the cables to help. Fast connects using RCA jacks on each speaker had me up and running in a few mins after cable routing - with nice cable lengths for front and back speakers. ... show more

    • Obnoxiously huge. No real settings to adjust
Don't bother with this glorified karaoke machine there are no real settings to adjust ( You cannot adjust the base or the treble unless you have a microphone plugged in literally doing karaoke) the sound is terrible and they are obnoxiously huge. we would have had to buy an entire new huge entertainment center to house this thing. I'm so glad we didn't keep it. ... show more

The sound is awesome!!!!!!! even my 1 yr old grandson loves them. They really make a difference in quality of sound. I bought 2 and I have no retreats.

I got these expecting bass. I was not impressed. I've had smaller subwoofers perform better. The speakers are nice and loud, but the sub, is not impressive for what it's advertised for.

I hate to say it, but for the price, I expected a bit more quality. The speakers themselves are a bit large for them to be as light as they were. I was expecting for them to have some heaver magnets inside them for more powerful sound driving. As for the sound, it's loud (der?) than if they weren't there, but it's not the clean and tight sound quality that I really wanted for this price point. I'm wondering where all the wattage (1400) is going. You have to notch it to the max to really start to somewhat appreciate it. I've had them for a few weeks because I didn't want to bother with the hassle of sending them back. If you're in the market for bigger sound at this price point, perhaps it's best you choose a product from a brand with a bit better reputation for it. ... show more

Absolutely horrible sound Little to no bass and when it does do something the subwoofer box rattles so loud you can’t even hear anything. Worst quality I have ever experienced

I two of these and hooked them up y try o my pool in series and within the first week one of the seems broke so I requested to have a replacement sent and before it arrived the other one started leaking. When I got the replacement one attached to the pool it also started leaking in two days now I’m out over 200 dollars such a waste of money and time
