I already know this is a great bunk carpet alternative because I've purchased this in the past and had great results. I used a staple gun on the underside of the bunk board to hold it in place but followed it up with galv exterior washer head type screws from Home Dumpo, those gold color ones. I'm pretty sure those dont rust but thats an easy every other year or 3 I can remove and replace a few. The carpet is worth it. I skid an inflatable Zodiak across the carpet and find it skids well, dries out and doesn't scuff ( or worse ) the Hypalon tubes. What I don't get? Why in the description pics of this product is a neatly dressed woman sitting in the bow of a boat, in the Caribbean maybe, taking a picture, with her smartphone and laptop on the seat and the camera looks like an old film camera from the 70's? huh? Go figure... Not a knock on the product, just a laugh at creative marketing... Well recommended

I got this to put on my utility trailer so I can use it to haul a canoe. I had been using pool noodles, but they deteriorated from the sun, so now I'm trying something meant for the purpose. Cutting and fastening was easy using regular scissors and a staple gun. I'll add more permanent fasteners (wood screws) in the future, but this worked well for the initial attachment. The 8" roll was wide enough for me to wrap the 2x3 supports with a little extra for overlap. The canoe slides easily across the fabric without catching and it isn't so slippery that it slides off. The real test will be how it winters over and if it gets damaged by UV and the elements.

I used this on my wave runner trailer. I had a broke bunk so when I replaced it I recovered it. The bunk carpet worked great. I did use a 2x4 and that's what I would recommend using might be a little tight if using a 2x6. Make sure you use enough staples to secure it to the 2x4.

Perfect size for 2x4 bunks, leaves a bit open underneath for drying. Easy to attach with staples, easy to cut with scissors. We’ve used this before and it’s not the most durable product, lasts about 3 years with daily summer use. Inexpensive and so easy to apply it’s not an issue.
