SeaSierra Boat Marine Outboard Motor Cover for Mercury Yamaha Honda 100 115 150 HP Heavy Duty Hood Engines Full Cowling Protector Oxford This cover easily fits our 2024 Mecury Pro XS 115 HP outboard motor. The cover easily slipped over the powerhead, around the lower unit, and zipped right up. Then, I just cinched the drawstring. Done. It could use a strap or bungee in the midsection in the upper casing area to help keep it from possibly flapping in high winds. Included is a storage bag. You can tuck the cover into the bag and toss it into a storage compartment on the boat for convenient access. The cover is well made. All the seams and stitching are nice and tight with no flaws. The zipper is decent and operates smoothly. The cinching cord is sturdy enough to hold the cover in place. The pvc coated polyester fabric is wonderfully flexible without being stretchy. However, the cover is thinner and lighter than expected being described as "heavy duty." There is no lining. For us this is fine as the boat is stored under cover; however if you store your boat outdoors, the cover may not last as long. It did bead water with a quick test and I hope it does as well in a downpour. This cover should work sufficiently to shield from the elements for a bit, but it doesn't fully guard against insects and rodents due to the drawstring method of fastening. Final thoughts If you store in full elements long term, you may want a cover that is made specifically for that purpose. This cover seems to be suited for full elements on occasion and under cover long term. (Be aware that the measuring tape is on the cover laying flat which is not a true representation of the installed length) ... show more
