The media could not be loaded. I put this on my 2002 Mercury 15hp 4 stroke. Parts are not readily available anymore, so I decided to give this carb a try to fix my struggling carburetor. Swapping the old carb for the new was straight forward. The engine ran rough immediately after installing the new carb and would die, so I did need to adjust the idle air mixture screw and the idle throttle adjust screw. After finding the right sweet spot for these screws, it was running smooth (see video). I have used it several times now, and it is running smoother and better than it has for quite some time. ... show more

Had to switch my old linkage to this carb, other than that it works like a charm on my 2004 Mercury 15hp 4 stroke. I couldn't buy a rebuild kit for anywhere near this price.

Put it on my 2000 mercury 9.9 Bigfoot. Went on smooth. The choke was different from my original carb so I switched the choke connector with the old one. Started right up. Will see how it works out on the water and if the carb increased my speed.

    • Leaking gas after only 5 months
Initially the carb worked well. After 5 months, probably 10 hours of run time, it will no longer idle without some choke and dies when decelerating. I only use non-ethanol fuel with Sta-bil. I took the cowl off and found fuel dripping from one of the aft screws on the bowl. Removed carb to access the screws and all were tight. Guess I will disassemble to see if I can find the leak. ... show more

From the post I thought it was a new carb. It was definitely a rebuilt one as you can tell it’s scratched up in the photo. I put it on and it started right up. Ran it in idle for about 15 minutes, haven’t taken it out on the water yet. Would have received 5 stars if advertised as rebuilt. Price cannot be matched else where. ... show more

Installed on my outboard, had to change out the choke connection but that wasn’t an issue. After installation the motor started first pull and runs excellent!
