For many years I have used and purchased a well-known brand, but as the prices scaled ever higher I decided to give these BNX filters a try. Comparatively, they were several dollars less per unit with a higher MERV rating. The BNX filters are well constructed and labeled with product information. One difference is that the BNX come packed in just one heavy plastic bag (inside the Amazon box) whereas the well-known brand comes with individual wraps of a type of clingly plastic that cannot be recycled. It is easy enough to keep the filters in waiting in the heavy bag and better for the environment. Four filters are a one year supply.

I buy these type hepas all the time. This is good for the money. These type filters have been going up in price over the past 4 yrs. If you get a chance to buy in bulk, do it.

Very robust filters with reinforced metal grid on one side. Pleats are deep and uniform. Filter rating 13. That's plenty without putting a strain on your furnace motor. Buy with confidence.

The other brand I was buying in multi-packs had each filter individually packed. This is preferred since it can be a few months before a homeowner needs the second filter. So, now I have to tape up plastic on the second filter until it is ready to use. Not ideal, but certainly usable. Filtration has been fine with this filter.
