I have a rental property occupied by a heavy smoker for 20 years. When she left, I was frantic to get the stink out. I tried everything: new HVAC, painting all surfaces, new carpet & pad, essential oils, etc, Nothing worked. I was considering replacing the drywall as a final step, but read about this filter and thought I would try it first. Why not? I had tried everything else. Much to my astonishment, the odor was completely gone within 48 hours. I have noticed, however, if I go too long without replacing the filter, the odor returns, Also, the efficiency of the filter to collect dust and allergens is so high that the filter needs to be replaced every 2 months. I really like these filters. They work as intended. Fit perfect. Strong, as they don't start folding like some of the lesser quality filters. I have a big German Shepherd and I think these filters help with odors for sure.

Filters seen too work pretty well, have 2 cats and things can get a little hairy but these filters have helped drastically cut down dust and hair buildup, and even though we all know the litterbox can stink these help keep the house smelling neutral also. I generally change the filter once every 2 months or so and it works out very well for the price. I kind of wanted the more expensive ones to try but you also have to remember that the more protection it offers, the less air will be flowing through usually, these offer good airflow though. Definitely worthwhile over the cheaper filters, after all since we are mid-covid and spending a lot of time at home it is good to breathe good quality air. ... show more

Got these filters for the fire season when the smoke is so bad it stings your eyes when your outside. Run them all day inside and they make a huge difference. If you need a quick and easy filter system just throw this on the back of a box fan and it works good enough also.
