Easy to install, already working, loving this product
If you have some basic electrical experience and training, and a voltmeter, you should be able to install this yourself. Instructions were easy to follow and the color coding for the wires is labeled on the transformer. I purchased and used some additional foil tape. I didn't have a 3" metal hole saw and neither did the hardware store, so I purchased a 4" hole saw. I had the ducts cleaned last year, I drilled my hole in that panel, although that was the only place for it, lol. I live in a pretty dry area, so there is almost no H2O2 smell. There is ZERO O3 smell. The output I chose for the shroud is all the way open. I started out with it a 1/4 open but we didn't notice anything after 5 hours of running the fun. As I said before it is pretty dry where I live. The pet odor in the house, after two day's, is almost gone. We are all breathing a little better too. My dog has allergy's and her nose has almost stopped running. The furnace has been running as it normally would, the fan is no longer continuously running. There are some questions in the threads about installing with the furnace fan or allow to run continuously. The manual recommends to have it run continuously, it does say that you can configure to run with the furnace fan though, but if the unit cycles frequently that there could be problems. I chose the continuous run because, in the late spring, summer and early fall the cooling of the house causes the furnace to cycle on and off frequently. We were running small UV/electrostatic air cleaners throughout the house, those are turned off now so the electrical usage should be the same or less now. I just changed the furnace filters. I will take some pictures of the furnace filter after I change them in 90 days. With four pets the old one without electrostatic was pretty full. I am guessing they will be worse in the future now. So far I am really pleased. I was looking at much more expensive solutions. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the product will last and do the job.

Blown away by this device and what it does for my house!
Okay I could be a spokesman for this unit and what it has done for my house. I cannot imagine a unit making my house smell like fresh air. I have just been blown away at the difference it has made in my home. I bought it because I was getting fungal infections and my doctor suggested I clean up the air. 24-hours after installing it, I walked into the master bedroom and it smelled like somebody hung clothes on the clothesline fresh. I literally had to look and see if the windows were opened and they were not, I then walked out to ask my husband if he sprayed anything in the room, and he said no. It continues to keep my house fresh day in and day out. I don't think anyone in our Day & age should be without one in their home. Bacteria is on the rise and infections and everyone needs one of these in their home. It's just unbelievable. I've wanted to write this review since I first got it. My son works in the AC business so he was able to install it for me, he actually was the one that recommended it. My doctor recommended one brand that was twice the cost of this, and I had to go with this one money-wise. I couldn't have made a better choice. I cannot believe what a unit like that can do for the air quality in your house and smell like a Fresh Meadow. I don't know how that happens but it does. I highly highly highly recommend the reme Halo! I would love to promote this product because I only promote and talk about what works and what I believe in.

Don't purchase.
This product is terrible it only worked for two months and the manufacturer wouldn't replace it. I figured it was the bulb so i ordered a new bulb. When the HVAC tech tried to install it he said that the ballist/transformer wasn't working properly. Now according to Reme they only honor the warranty if it's purchased at a HVAC supply house and bought by a licensed HVAC installer. This was an expensive unit, therwere many cheaper options online.

Excellent Product - But Beware of Who Installs It
Bought this unit to replace the one that was installed by "professionals". The old one worked great in keeping the air clean of molds and viruses, unfortunately, the "professionals" did a bad job of installing it and put it where replacing the bulb was practically impossible. True to form, the unit broke when the same "professionals" went to replace the bulb a few years later. The damage wasn't covered by the warranty. The only thing the "professionals" did right was installing the 24v power supply required for the unit. Because I installed this new unit myself (in a position that the bulb can be easily replaced), RGF's warranty won't cover this unit (it wasn't installed by a professional). But given the quality of the product, I am not worried about it failing.

Works good install wasn't too difficult
Works well purchased 2. One for each HVAC unit in my home. Some skills required but not too complicated if you are handy to do yourself. Requires connection to the HVAC units power or installing a power supply which was included. I didn't use the transformer. The power to the units main boards was the same voltage these Halo units need and there was sufficient wattage available vs what it was powering to not overload. Noticed a small amount of ozone smell when the unit first kicks on but that is noted in the instructions. It smells lightly like peroxide. After a couple days you dont notice it. Been over 1 year still works. Recommended replacement for the UV bulbs is every 2 years I think.

seller and RFG don't stand behind HALO, but we are good.
I received my Halo and was excited to get it installed. we had several issues to overcome. we read the directions and began installing. First Issue. the Transformer had no wiring diagram attached we had to research and overcome that. checking with a voltmeter we were all good. next we would plug in the HALO and the light would come on and die 1 sec later. turns out the wiring for the bulb 1 wire came loose or was never hooked up. we had to disassemble it to figure this out. once we fixed all the issues My wife and I have been enjoying the air in out home with little to no allergies. so to answer your question does it work YES. but RFG and this seller suck. so I highly recommend you consult a A/C company unless you want to deal with the BS. and by the way the seller never replied to any of my messages. RFG pointed the finger and never took responsibility for their poor quality control.

Saved me a fortune!
I have a guest house built in the 60s that has/had a stale smell I could not place. It was like 'old house/ stale mystery' odor. I covered the walls and ceiling in Killz Restoration odor blocking primer, repainted, replaced appliances, inspected attic. Everything except replacing the kitchen cabinets and AC. I even tested for mold, did both ClO2 and ozone treatments. Nothing worked! I spent a ton of money remodeling only to still be hit with a stale odor when I open the door. The Reme Halo was my last hope before ripping out all drywall and starting new, and I didn't have much hope it was going to work to be honest. But wow! After only 1 day, the place smells great! I don't want to jinx it, so I'm going to hold off buying another for the main house for a few weeks, but my initial impressions are that it's a miracle. I'm feeling relieved that this gadget might have solved a problem that has been stressing me out for a long time. I will update if anything changes, I'm good about that.

SCAM
I bought one of these twelve years ago and it lasted 10 years before it went. I have bought 3 of these after and they all failed . The first one failed within 15 days . The second failed within 4 days and this latest on failed at 9 months. This is a scam . This is a lot of money to be spending for a product that is sold as a real reme halo when it's a fake. Don't buy from these people ever!
