The title says it all. The remote that came with out Insignia TV killed batteries in a day. The batteries in this remote still measure their initial 1.6V after four days. Everything on the remote works and it adds no noticeable lag to the TV's native response. NOTE: This remote does not have Voice Control. The Search button takes you to text search. The lack of voice support is stated in the product description details.

I was hesitant to purchase a $60 remote with how abusive I am with the cheap Samsung replacement remotes. I got sick and tired of the batteries flying out of the remote every time it drops, the voice command not working most of the time, and the constant reconnecting to my Samsung TV. No batteries, no errors, lightweight, and the remote is white so much easier to find. I've had it for two weeks and no issues.

In the beginning my only gripe with the remote was that it was a little harder to press the buttons and that it didn't have the samsung logo on it like my original. That was fine and definitely wasn't a deal breaker. After about 6 weeks of ownership my remote randomly "froze" and I couldn't use it for 2 days. I was forced to revert to my samsung smart things app to navigate my tv. About 2 weeks after that it stopped working completely. I tried charging the remote in sunlight and USB-C cables, resetting the remote, and even letting it sit like last time. Overall in my opinion this remote isn't worth the $50 it's advertised. If you want a device that you can ensure upholds the same quality, I highly recommend ordering from the samsung parts website and spending the extra $50 on quality.

It 95% works but that remaining 5% is frustrating. There's no continuous/long pressing. If you press volume up it will go up for a second then you have to press again. This functions the same way when trying to fast forward or rewind in apps that require continuous press. On my TV the Netflix app breaks every so often. To fix I have to reinstall. To access the reinstall option I have to go to the app under Apps menu and long press. This remote will not allow long pressing so I can't reinstall the app.
