I enjoy using other Brickell products, so I thought I would give their shave butter a try versus my traditional shave cream. I was very surprised what a much closer shave I got with no irritation on my face whatsoever. Left my face smooth with no stubble. The best part is the fact that all the ingredients are all natural compared to the chemical infused shave cream I was using. I also like the small size of jar so it’s great for travel as well. A little butter goes a long way, so it is economical too. One tip is to make sure you use hot water (as in the shower, sink, or running it off the tap) otherwise it will clog your razor. No biggie, as I only use hot water anyway. P.S. Sign up for emails for sales and specials and save some bucks too.

Ok, I wanted to use this a few times before writing a review. I am a woman and have sensitive skin and am prone to razor burn. Normally use the Brickell body wash to shave with but Y'ALL I took a chance on trying something new. For contingency I used it for all my shave areas. It went on smooth and evenly, the scent was light and the razor swept through easily. My skin felt soft and moisturized but not greasy. And no razor burn! My husband used this on coarse beard hair, let it sit for a few minutes and shaved his neck without any issues.

While I've used shaving foam for many years, it always felt wasteful. I dispense more than I need and struggle with maneuvering the foam along the edges of my beard. This shave butter is smooth, easy to apply and able to be targeted to the right spots. Took some getting used to though - since it doesn't take nearly as much to prep for shaving.

Long ago i ditched the aerosol shaving creams because of my sensitive skin and the chemicals added to the razor burn, dryness and itching i had after each shave. I've reviewed a number of shave soap pucks and creams that i would recommend, and tried a ton more that didn't make the grade. This stuff is top notch! When you open the jar It has a fresh minty fragrance that wakes you up. More importantly, the natural lubricants provide for an excellent, close shave without razor burn, irritation or nicks. This product doesn't require the effort or time of a hard soap and brush, but still provides a top quality shave. Just scoop a little out with your finger (the jar says about a quarter size, i put two dime size "dollops" on each cheek and neck) and massage in. After receiving my order i had an evening affair one day, and I had to shave a second time later in the same day which usually ruins me. , I used this cream, counting on the aloe and jojoba combination to work some magic. I had no irritation or dry skin feeling. This is now part of my shaving rotation and I would highly recommend it.

Not really sure what they were going for here. First of all, the scent is strange and not super appealing, but this isn't a huge deal. What is a bigger deal is that it's not super effective when used with a brush. It's extremely sticky and sort of clumps on your face, even when using a generous amount of water. My biggest issue with the product is that it dries extremely quickly, making this weird sticky, filmy mess on your stubble, which isn't ideal to drag a razor over. I have to wet my hands and run it back over my face, then dry my hands so my razor doesn't slip, etc. Stick with the old school products here. They've been around forever for a reason.

Started using brickell as recommendation from a friend. I had tried a few products before and really liked them so I decided to try the shave butter. I love it. I have thick facial hair and am prone to in grown hairs. It left my skin feeling very smooth, helped get a closer shave and I haven’t had any ingrown hairs since starting to use. Highly recommend this shave butter and Brickell products as a whole.

Normally, if I have the time, I prefer to use a boar’s hair brush, shave soap and a single blade razor to shave. However, Brickell’s brushless shave butter is a life-saver when traveling or when I don’t have 30min to shave the old fashioned way. The all-natural ingredients provide for a close shave, even when shaving quickly. I’ve never had razor burn or ingrown hairs when using this product. Highly recommended!

UPDATE: Thrown away after the second shave. Can't take it anymore. The smell is SO bad, doesn't mix well when you shake it (shook it like crazy, didn't help) and just makes for an overall bad shave. My 2 star is now going down to a one star because I thought I could get through this tiny bottle but.........just no. Put this product out of its misery. Will not be buying again. Spent $12 on this shaving cream and it looks almost like a sample size (not actually the sample size because I got a sample of it before which I mistakenly forgot to use before I bought this). If you shave a lot and like to use a good amount of shaving cream do not buy this, it'll last you maybe 4-5 shaves. As far as the actual product, it felt like I was spreading some clumpy Cetaphil on my face and didn't really help with my shave much. Lastly, the smell (in my own personal opinion) is terrible, it smells like a cheap form of alcohol, almost made me gag honestly. I LOVE all the other Brickell products I have tried so far (which is the only reason it got a second star), especially the face wash and the face cream but this totally misses the mark.
