These batteries are better than Nikon's, simple and clear. The Nikons have not done it for me (and I'm just an amateur; I'd hate to have battery problems in the middle of a wedding or some such assignment). Let me rewind and restate: these are incredibly good batteries. Compared to the Nikon that came with my Z5 body, this one holds its charge, in or outside the body for longer than the Nikon, and it also lasts longer. Granted, I set the VF to auto view, so the LCD turns on when I'm not looking through the viewfinder and I can use it to focus and compose with the camera body lowered or raised where I cannot use the finder. Since I volunteer at an animal shelter socializing cats, I use this camera to photograph them for about 2 hours per week without turning it off. The Nikon starts showing power use after one hour. With the BM, I finish my 2 hours and the battery still shows as full. I am aware that it may not be really full, but it's encouraging to see that there's energy in it. I bought my first BM battery with some caution (my favorite brand of third-party batteries for Nikon, STK, is not available for the Z5), but these haven't let me down. Don't hesitate and buy yourself two or three... they can be safely tucked away in your bag for two or three weeks and still work fine in your camera.

Bought this as a spare battery on my recent trip to VN. Was a touch nervous since there multiple people saying that there are compatibility issues. At least on my Nikon Z-5 - ZERO issues. In the firld, I cannot tell any difference between this and Nikon’s own battery in terms of. how fast it charges and how long it last per charge. ( I did not do any measurements FYI ). Cost is about 1/3 that of Nikon’s. I would buy again, at least for Z-5.

Initially third party batteries were not recognized by my Nikon Z6II. These are. I'm a full time pro and have discovered that one of the not so good "features" of mirrorless is the high battery consumption. I mean heck, with my D750 and a grip I could shoot over 1,000 raw frames. Get a couple HOURS of use out of mirrorless? There goes 1 battery. So I bought a couple of these so I am always carrying a spare on me as well as cycling another spare through a charger. That I once again have to bring with me. Like it was the early digital days of 2003. These work, all I needed.

Of the three different off-brand batteries I've tried in my Nikon Z8, this BM Premium product is the best. First of all, the battery works perfectly in my Z8. Secondly, I've taken 482 photos so far over a week's time, and the battery still has a 35% charge. This rivals -- and possibly surpasses -- the capacity of Nikon's original-equipment battery. Highly recommended.

I bought this battery as a more economical alternative to the pricey Nikon offered. I dropped it in the camera and saw no discernible difference in performance. Since it’s a recent purchase I can’t comment on longevity.
