We have owned one blunt umbrella for more than ten years and it is still in perfect condition, after Oklahoma wind and rain events. Not too long ago I purchased my second since one of my children wants the first umbrella. Today, Ohio had a downpour and 34 MPH gusts, of course during the time I was walking from work to my car. The wind was so strong it ripped the umbrella from my hand and blew it .25 miles away, across a parking lot. I drove to pick it up, expecting at least some kind of damage from hitting the asphalt so many times; however, it is STILL in perfect condition. After trashing a number of cheaper umbrellas, the blunt brand was recommended to me. Or arrived the other day and despite the fact that the product’s name mentions UV protection, I noticed that the canopy didn’t have the protectant coating. The product itself is well made and seems very sturdy, however I checked the company website and it appears that they do make a UV version, it’s just that this isn’t it. ... show more

It's a very good umbrella, you can tell the material of manufacture is good and the rods that stretch the canvas as well. However, to be portable it is a bit cumbersome.
