BIG disappointment. I ordered from Amazon and the unit I received had obviously been used and thrown back in the box. When I got it working it would just stop - full sun on the panel, runs a while, stops. Turned it off then back on - same thing ... worked for a while then stopped. The one time after a full day in the sun I turned it on after dark and it ran out of battery inside of 15 minutes. A must to avoid.

The media could not be loaded. I love my fountain! It's a perfect centerpiece for my newly remodeled backyard. Looks great, and I find the sight and sound of the water to be very relaxing as I sit nearby. I really appreciate the fact that it is solar powered as well, as the ideal location for it is far from any outlets. Now, I don't have it in the most consistently sunny area, so left to it's own devices, it usually comes on around noon and runs for most of the afternoon. But I do have the option of turning it off if I want to preserve the battery for the evening. And though I haven't tried it yet, it does look like there's an extra slot in the back where you can plug in a charger if I ever want to charge the batteries more. Setup is pretty easy, though there were a couple of things I found confusing: • There is no slot on the back of the panel for the stand to attach to as the picture in the instructions would imply. Rather, it's the top edge of the panel itself that's meant to fit into the groove on the stand. That wasn't too hard to figure out, but... • ... it took me a couple of days to actually figure out how to turn it on and off, and I kind of figured it out by accident. The instructions tell you to press something, but the thing on the back of the panel that I mistook for a button really isn't... it's just a light to indicate the battery charge. I kept pressing it to no avail, and fortunately, I didn't break it. Rather, there's an area on the back panel label with "on/off" written on it, and all you have to do is touch it to turn it on, or hold your finger there a few seconds to turn it off. Once I figured that out, I found it really pretty cool!

Works sorta great and looks very nice in my garden. Have been unable to reach the seller to see if I can get a solar panel with a battery or a battery attachment as I really want this to run at night. If not, I will need to return.

Once I pushed in the power button it would not release. I contacted them and my only choice was to take the entire fountain apart and return the entire product, which would have been a pain. I would have preferred to exchange the panel only. I finally got the button to a position where it was on (energizing the pump) all the time. Hopefully it will stay on and I can just unplug the cords from the solar panel to turn it off. Unfortunately I did drop one of the small bowls into the large bowl and it broke in half. I glued it back together. I was worried about that immediately as the bowls are lightweight and on the thin side. I was worried about the wind knocking them over, but it was me who did it. Three things to me need improvement - the power button on the solar panel (seems to be an issue with others too), bowls are too light/easy to break, there is nothing to stop the pump when the water gets low, and due to the bottom bowl not being very deep, that happens a lot. The bowls could use a seal on the inside to make them easier to clean, mine were quickly white from mineral buildup. They do look great. I love the general design - that part gets 5 stars to me. I placed it with flowering plants around it and the birds love the flowing bowls.
