I’ve finally found the pillow I’ve been searching for! I have cervical instability and this pillow is awesome for my neck. I love that I can select and change the height and feel at any point depending on my needs that night. Plus I sleep on all sides so like that the edges don’t taper off to a point or have too much material that it pushes into the sides of my nose and makes it hard to breathe. I find that this pillow has the perfect combination of firm and supportive, but yet still soft and squishy enough that my head doesn’t hurt or bounce around on the pillow. This pillow also wasn’t overly smelly right out of the bag. It still had the typical memory foam smell from being sealed up, but minimal, and after airing it out for a day it what good to go. I think this is a quality pillow at a really fair price point. I have seven other pillows I rotate through depending on how much my neck hurts, but now I can finally start tossing some out. I have neck problems so I thought to get a pillow that would keep my neck straight while sleeping. It worked for that but it was way too firm and it would eventually somehow push against my head or something. It really must have irritated my nerves because my symptoms got worse than when I was using another pretty bad memory foam pillow. I thought it would have been an upgrade. I'm not sure if all memory foam is like that but it's not good for people with injuries at all. I couldn't imagine sleeping comfortably on it even if I didn't have any neck problems. I slept better after removing the memory foam and replacing it with squishmallow fluff in the meantime while I find an actual pillow that works. It was a good idea and was soft for like a day but this is probably more for sleepers that want a pillow that hardly changes shape. Edit: Customer service reached out and offered me a full refund without needing to return it, so I'm adding stars. I still can't give 5 because I didn't enjoy the quality but the customer service was great.

I got this to raise the height of my Tempur-Pedic Medium pillow, which had the right contour and support but sat too low for my shoulders. I sleep still all night, so any drop in height leads to neck pain or headaches by the morning. This set fixed it. What no one tells you is that it comes with an extra 1-inch firm layer for the base. It's not even mentioned in the listing, and it’s exactly what you need to keep the stack from slowly sinking overnight. I put that firm layer at the bottom and used one of the softer layers on top to dial in the height. It also comes with several layers you can mix and match to adjust in 0.25” increments, so if you’re still figuring out your perfect loft, it’s super easy to test different setups. Stable, supportive, and customizable. If you’re trying to build the perfect pillow height that stays put, this is it.

Being able to change depth of head feel is a plus. I wanted a more firm feel from these layers. Others in our household found this pillow perfect and love everything about it. I do feel, when seller describes benefits and features, it would be nice to have a chart that is relatable to a feel of soft as 1, to firm as 5 and those in between. Overall, pillow is nice, no odors, good size, great to skin feel.
