Everything works as it should other than the lid corner being bent and also the lock is a little hard to latch but I believe that’s from the corner being bent.

I'll start with on that might Help someone else. The lock on this unit has a defect in the alignment of the latch and hook. I returned one due to what I thought was an incorrect key. When the replacement arrived, it had the same problem. This time I took a little more of a chance in damaging the unit or the key. I flipped it on its back and push/pull while applying an large amount of force to twist the key. I eventually was able to get it unlatched. Then it wouldn't open more than an inch. Again, I applied a large amount of force and was able to get it open. The lid opens smoothly now, and the lock moves back and forth freely. Now it wouldn't latch. I had to bend the latch in to realign with the hook. it now works properly like it should. An additional problem is that the unit doesn't have handles like the picture, but it does have the holes for someone to mount some. While it is the dimensions listed, the top 4 rows of drawers are very shallow depth. It will work for my purpose, but someone will be caught by surprise. For example, most 1/4-inch screwdriver bit cases will fit, but my Dewalt case will not. With that said, it is a good bench top toolbox. Other than the issues I pointed out, it is a good toolbox for the money. I would purchase again, especially now that I understand why it wouldn't open upon arrival, ... show more

I to Lapidary work and have small tools so this tool box works great and is small enough to save space. If your using normal around the house or with car tools STAY AWAY from this. I ordered this tool chest after looking at the kennedy boxes that cost over $500, and when I found this chest, i was a little concerned about quality. However, when it arrived, it was packaged nicely and came with no damage whatsoever. All the drawers work properly, the lining is in place and for the money, this is a BETTER bargain than the Kennedy box. There is more cubic space in the drawers than the more expensive chests. I would recommend this chest if you need a well constructed box but don't want to pay for just a name. ... show more
