Though I'm now 36, I grew up sleeping on my back in a water bed through my teens. I imagine it's because of that experience that I almost always develop a terrible kink in my neck on any morning after I sleep with my head propped up too high. I go to great lengths to prevent this, carrying my own hard-to-find, decades-old, and extremely-thin pillow with me since I can remember any time I plan on spending a night away... until it sadly went missing on my most recent trip. Desperate to avoid another kink, I quickly replaced it with another Amazon pillow by OnACloud, but it was not made of as nice a foam and was strangely large for its thin size. This didn't surprise me though - I've always had a miserable time finding another option as good as ol' reliable before the Bluewave Hyper Slim pillow showed up at my door. While slightly thicker than my old pillow, it's amazingly plush, springy, and soft, making for perhaps the most comfortable sleep I've had since the last one disappeared. I couldn't believe how well I've slept since it arrived - truly restorative with no kinks in sight! I opted against the "Max Cool" version, but I'm glad I did as I've not had any issues with overheating, despite it being the middle of the summer. Moreover, where the OnACloud pillow was huge and my previous pillow unusually tiny in size, this one fills our queen pillowcases like any other queen pillow while remaining significantly thinner. Where I'm also very sensitive to smells, there was little to no odor from this pillow on arrival and it has remained odorless over this first week. I can't say enough good things about how comfortable it is. It's supportive enough for my head, but still cradles it with a lively, springy plushness that's an absolute tactile joy. It may just be the most comfortable pillow I've ever used and I've literally spent 3 decades looking. As far as I'm concerned, they don't make them better than this and should I ever lose it again, I'll be heading right back to BlueWave for another. Even though I never thought I'd find a replacement that worked as well as my last one, given how comfortable it is, I'm forced to wonder if it might have been part of the problem all along. I get migraines and often wake up with one during the night or wake up in the morning with one. I started trying all different kinds of pillows to see if a new one would help. Finally I saw this one that said it would be cool and wouldn't change shape all night. I don't usually like most memory foam but this one wasn't the type that was all chopped up in pieces. It was one solid piece and 'infused' with cooling gel so I figured I'd give it a try. I normally get very hot during the night. To my surprise, this pillow was actually very cool when I first lay down on it. If I have the AC on, this pillow starts out actually quite cold! It doesn't stay cold all night because it does absorb my body heat, but if it starts out in and air conditioned room, it is a cold pillow. And I can sleep for hours without my ear being all squashed when I wake up. I love this pillow. It's the first time I've loved a pillow so much in years. It surprised me because normally I sleep propped up and this is a flat pillow. But I sleep flat and wake up with no migraines. I will stick with this pillow until it wears out and hopefully they will keep making it. ... show more

This is 100% for stomach sleepers. It’s not for laying on your side while you want to be on your phone maybe scrolling. I use it for what it’s intended for and that is sleeping and I usually just sleep on my stomach. I haven’t had any neck pain or discomfort tryin to figure out a better sleeping position. Now I can sleep comfortably on my stomach as I like. The pillow itself is so soft. It doesn’t have much support as I sad if you want lay sitting up as I have an adjustable base I’ll need other fluffier pillows for lounging. Good price point for a useful pillow. If you’re using it solely for sleeping and you’re a stomach sleeper I definitely recommend. I don’t think it’s too slim although at first I was like wow that’s slim but I realize that’s what I’ve been needed to avoid neck pain since I do sleep on my stomach. ... show more

Literally feels like I'm laying my head on a (non-sticky) marshmallow! After a head/spine injury, it was recommended I use a "neck support" pillow. You know, the kind with a bump on one side. That's what I've used for years. Lately, it's been feeling like that bump is pressing too much against my neck. So I decided to pillow shop. This pillow had such good ratings from people with back issues I decided to try it. My Hubby said I would think it's too flat after using the neck support pillow for so long. I wondered too, and promised myself I'd give it 3 or 4 nights.... Ya, right! This is a family owned small business that really cares about its customers. They have a 100 night sleep trial, which is great. I love the lower loft 3.25 in for aligning the neck and head with the spine - this reduced my neck pain a lot. The only downside was the pillow is too thick for my neck. But they say you can return it for a softer or harder pillow. I emailed them to ask for a softer pillow but they had none in stock at the time and gave me a complete refund. Some nights, it feels fine. So far, I have a free pillow. I will try a softer one when they come back in stock. I have been searching for close to a decade for the right pillow!! I knew this is the one as soon as I layed on it! I have neck issues including cervical lordosis. If you have this, you need this pillow!! I am beyond relieved to have finally figured it out. I highly recommend this! Normally I toss and turn trying to find the right position. Not now! I’m awake now for other reasons but I’m still happy! I don’t mind paying the price for finally finding the perfect support, comfort, cooling, and perfect height needed sleep.
