Not high fidelity per se but pretty well balanced all around for fat and cheaper bluetooth speaker. The design is heavy but makes the quality factor pop, Im very happy with the design and weight actually. Not the worst portable its not really designed for that but as a bluetooth speaker just vibing indoors this thing is perfect. Also great battery life, that was my biggest issue with JBL. We had a Celebration of Life for my wife and had to provide our own speakers for the music because we wanted to use music that the yacht club could not provide what we wanted. I got 2 of these speakers and set them up, paired, on the stage, hoping they would be loud enough. I was the first speaker and when I started everyone said they couldn't hear me because of the music coming from these speakers. We had to turn them off for the people speaking. They had enough power, amazingly for speakers so light and they were a great value. I did not get a chance to try out the Bluetooth but assume that would work just as good as the mini SD Card. Bluetooth works flawlessly. Sound quality is very good but unbalanced in favor of bass, which it does very well. Recommend adjusting the tone with the equalizer function of your streaming app or other music source. Beautiful design. Nice sound but had to return. When it reaches 20% battery it would chirp and shut off. Was unable to send a video of problem since vendor could not accept an mp4 or avi file for the video I took to show the problem. Amazon made it right but sadly I had to return.
