  • Ok thus far
Color: charcoal black
This is just a tad shy of 5 stars. The app is slow and difficult to use. They really neex to update the app so it is more reactive to the user, with a special level of attention to the hearing evaluation portion. It doesn't place the sound when the app says the sound is being broadcast. Please update ASAP. ... show more

  • the phone app makes this a lot better than cometiters
Color: charcoal black
I bought this because my Costco hearing and seemed to work so poorly. Sad to say this device confirmed that my hearing had worsened. The good part is I did not wait 2 months for a Costco appointment. The app is really well done. It does a hearing test and uses the results to set a profile. Each earpiece can be controlled individually. It has a few options (degree of noise-cancellation). Very simple to use on android phone. I would say it performs as well as the Costco behind-the-ear hearing aids. Look to other reviews for sound quality -- I am too old to judge that. It is much, much better (more comprehensible) than a similar device that has a single button for control; or any device that has single control for both earpieces. I have only had these a day. I will try to write something more complete in a month or 2. ... show more

  • Can be life changing, with some caveats
These hearing aids look like true wireless earbuds and act very much like them, with a case they can be stored in and charge up. The case has a bigger battery and can recharge the buds 3-4 times before needing to be charged itself. The case has multiple LEDs to indicate how much charge it has, as well as each bud when stored in it. What's really good is the buds can adjust five frequency bands independently for each ear. You need to download an app to do this. The app had trouble finding both buds but it eventually did. The hearing test was somewhat confusing. You have to tap "unheard" before it'll move up a volume level. So we ended up doing it twice. You can do it as many times as you need as your hearing changes. I think the frequency response is stored on the buds so they don't need to be connected to the phone or app constantly. Five bands is pretty good, exceeding some hearing aids you'd get from an audiologist, but less fine-grained than others. The amplification and noise reduction is very good. If you've never had a custom frequency band hearing aid it can be revelatory. There are other options to toggle in the app, like noise reduction aggressiveness, how it deals with feedback/whistling, and a limiter they call MPO (a ceiling to how much it will amplify). It's well thought-out. You can use the buds as "regular" wireless buds for music and phone calls, since it has a microphone. Phone quality is clear and good. However, you need to BT connect to "D930", then disconnect to return to hearing aid mode. It's a little cumbersome but at least it gives you the option and ability to, and you don't necessarily need to carry "another" pair of headphones. Comfort-wise, they provide different sizes of ear canal flanges. There's a brush and instructions to clean the buds. However, it is a personal thing how long you can wear them. As they are basically cantilevered into your ear canal and resting on the antitragus and intertragal notch, pressure there may not be as welcome as over your ear like a traditional hearing aid. But they can run a long time, if not a full waking day. There's a lot to like if you can manage it and deal with the manual. ... show more

  • Good options for the price
These were surprisingly good hearing aids for the cost which I'd consider in the poorer quality hearing aids. I'd highly recommend downloading the app (though not necessary). It offers a lot of options to help you fine tune and preset your set. It really helps 'even out' each sides since the ability to hear is a but uneven. Pairing can be a bit finicky but it works well overall. Using it as a BT headset can be a bit of a chore but you get used to it quite quickly and will almost work seemlessly with making calls. These look a bit too stylish but can pass as just a simple headset as opposed to a hearing aid if you're a bit self conscious. The fit is ok. Even though they have different sized inserts, these don't stand up well to constant movement. Comfort is not too bad but these are not kept on constantly. Sound quality is fine. With the frequency adjustments you can bring back hearing to almost a norm. No issues here. The case is nice and compact, however I have a love-hate impression of it. I love how small it is and it slips into a pocket without any unsightly angles. I hate it because its so smooth and could easily slip out of my hands when retrieving or putting away the sets. Overall though, I like it. For the price, this is pretty worth it without forking out too much for a branded set. ... show more

  • Pretty good hearing aids
These are decent quality hearing aids although a little overpriced. The volume control works pretty well and the noise cancellation is just ok. They fit well in the ears. The app works well too! The charging case looks nice. There’s minimal squelching at times, but not too bad.

  • Can't seem to stop the constant static & echoing. I'm frustrated right now but plan to try again.
The fit is fairly comfortable but don't let anyone kid you, these are very conspicuous & IMO are too bulky to be mistaken for just regular ear buds. I really like the case & battery level indicators for each piece independently. The self administered hearing test included on the app is a nice feature. Unfortunately, one side will stop working out of no where. Sometimes it cycles between the right & the left. Sometimes reconnecting/correcting itself without any assistance from me. Other times, one side won't come back on its & require me to into sign into the app to reconnecti. Plus I can't seem to find the right setting to get rid of the static and the echoing I hear constantly when wearing them. I'm hopeful that some day I can figure it out bc I hate to see them go to waste. The instruction manual is (not surprisingly) poorly written. The above issues are what makes these aids a no go for me at this time. ... show more
