I’m behind the wheel for most of the day, usually driving more than eight hours at a time. Phone calls are a regular part of the job, whether it is customers checking delivery times or dispatch calling with updates. With previous headsets, wind noise and engine sounds often got in the way. There were plenty of times when people asked me to repeat myself because my voice was getting lost in the background noise. This headset has done a much better job in those situations. Recently, I was driving on the interstate with heavy truck traffic around me. Several large rigs were passing by, and the road noise was hard to ignore from inside the cab. During that drive, a customer called to confirm an unloading appointment. We talked for several minutes, and at no point did he mention any noise on the line. In fact, he commented that my voice sounded clear, which was a pleasant surprise given the conditions. The mute function has turned out to be very useful during work calls. There are times when I need to quickly speak with my co-driver during a company conference call or while discussing rates with a customer.
